Translation of the saying:
Hashim ibn Ubayd al-Khujandi informed us, he said: We were with Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, then the Shias were mentioned, so he said: “A Shia of the Ahl al-Bayt is not one who reviles Abu Bakr and Umar, but a Shia of the Ahl al-Bayt is one who, whenever he is invited toward two men that one of them is from the Ahl al-Bayt and the other is from other than them, turns to the one who is from them and leaves the other.” Then he said: “The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family, said: ‘O God! My Ahl al-Bayt are the worthiest.’”[1]
Translation of the saying:
Salih ibn Muhammad al-Sabzawari informed us, he said: I heard Mansoor say: “Whoever is not one the Shias of the Ahl al-Bayt has perished.” I said: “Then we belong to God and to Him we shall return.” He said: “Perhaps you think the Shias of the Ahl al-Bayt are these rabble-rousers?! No, I swear to God, God has made the stature of the Ahl al-Bayt greater than they would be their Shias, but a Shia of the Ahl al-Bayt is one who helps them against their enemies.”
Translation of the saying:
Hasan ibn Qasim al-Tehrani informed us, he said: I heard Mansoor say: “Whoever is not one the Shias of the Ahl al-Bayt is not a believer.” I said: “The Shias?! And have you faced from anyone what you have faced from the Shias?!” So he said: “Perhaps you think I mean these lowly people?! No, I swear to God, and are these lowly people but a flock of foxes?! Indeed, a Shia of the Ahl al-Bayt is one who joins the party of the Ahl al-Bayt when people become two parties.”
Translation of the saying:
Ali ibn Isma‘il al-Damghani informed us, he said: I heard Mansoor say: “A Shia of the Ahl al-Bayt is not one who wipes his feet in wudu and puts his hands by his sides in prayer, but a Shia of the Ahl al-Bayt is one who, when he is invited toward a just Imam from among them to help him, accepts it, even if he washes his feet in wudu and places one hand on the other in prayer.” I said: “Is it not that he disobeys the Ahl al-Bayt in them?!” So he looked at me with anger and said: “He obeys them in something greater than them! Do these conceited people -i.e., the Shias- not disobey them in anything?! I swear to God, I wish there were ten men among them who knew what the Ahl al-Bayt were upon and obeyed them! They wipe their feet in wudu and put their hands by their sides in prayer, then, when they are invited toward a just Imam from among them to help him, they turn away! Do they hope to enter Heaven because they do temporary marriage?! No, I swear to God, these are not the Shias of the Ahl al-Bayt!”[2]
Translation of the saying:
Zakir ibn Ma‘roof informed us, he said: I said to Mansoor: “We talk to the Shias, the Sunnis, the Salafis, the Sufis, the Quranists, and every type of people, but among them, we do not find anyone who has a weaker intellect, less politeness, worse manner, more lies, greater slander, and more severe hostility toward you and affection for oppressors than the Shias!” So Mansoor lowered his head, and a great sadness appeared on his face. Then I said to myself: “Today he will reveal something about the Shias that has been hidden so far!” Then he said: “There were many virtues in the Shias as long as Ali was among them, so when he -may God have mercy on him- was killed, they lost heart, became weak, and gave in, their desires deceived them and sins spread among them until nothing was left of their virtues but two things, and those two things endeared them to us despite their many villainous deeds, and those two things were making guardianship exclusive to the Ahl al-Bayt and compromising with people through concealment. So we used to be patient with their villainous deeds because of these two things and would say, ‘May God forgive them.’ Then, when the absence[3] took place and the period[4] was prolonged, all their virtues were gone and their villainous deeds remained! So they began to choose various leaders, commit indecencies, and indulge in innovations and sins! So today they are evil in which there is no good! May God kill the group that went out of light into darkness and fell on the earth from above the heavens!

Translation of the saying:
Abdullah ibn Habib al-Tabari informed us, he said: I heard Mansoor say: “These snakes claim that they are from the Shias of Ali and I am not one of the Shias of Ali! Truly, they have turned to oppression and falsehood! Indeed, a Shia of Ali is one who follows his example and is imbued with his morals, and indeed, Ali would not tell lies nor slander nor accuse nor revile nor provoke fitnah nor arouse hostility among Muslims nor curse Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman nor accuse Aisha of being immoral nor charge the Muhajirin and the Ansar with disbelief nor consider the people of Badr as hypocrites nor be satisfied with exaggeration about himself nor say, ‘I have knowledge of the unseen,’ nor say, ‘Created beings have been entrusted to me, and I can possess them as I please,’[6] nor strike himself in the demise of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family, or the demise of Fatimah, peace be upon her,[7] nor call upon them in their absence to fulfill his needs nor command imitating people nor set guardianship like that of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family, for them[8] nor say that preserving his dominion is worthier than preserving Islam, but rather would leave the dominion to preserve Islam, nor consider it lawful to oppose the Quran and the Sunnah for the benefit of his world nor accept ignominy nor seek the help of disbelievers nor help oppressors in their oppression nor get along with them out of greed for their world or fear of little harm, which he would call it taqiyyah, nor act on a report narrated by one person from the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him and his family, unless he would make him swear and he would swear for him, nor do many other things that they do, and I am free of all of that. So now they shall refer to themselves and judge, which one of us is more like Ali?! They or me?! So if their hearts bear witness and their consciences admit that I am more like Ali than them, they shall fear God and stop reviling me, oppressing me, being hostile toward me, provoking people against me, arresting and imprisoning my companions and those who love me unrightfully; because I invite them toward a just Imam from the offspring of Ali[9], and they are the most deserving of people to accept my invitation and rush to help me if they are truthful, but they are naturally inclined to lies, fanaticism, and arrogance and oppose me ‘out of envy in their selves after the truth became clear to them, so forgive and overlook until God brings His command. Indeed, God has power over all things.’”
Translation of the saying:
Isa ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Jowzjani informed us, he said: I said to Mansoor: “I see with you nothing from the Shia except for weak men and women! So where are its virtuous and brave ones?!” So he said: “O Aba Muhammad! The thieves in Iran got hold of the Shia before me, so they plundered its treasures, destroyed its mines, and left me nothing but stones and clods! Know that, I swear to God, if I find helpers against them, they will have a hard day from me!”
Translation of the saying:
Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Taloqani informed us, he said: A group of the Shias came to Mansoor and asked him about some matters, so he answered them with the Quran and the Sunnah, but they rejected his answer and said: “This is not from our madhhab!” So Mansoor became very angry and said to them: “Perhaps you assume you are from the Shias of Ali?!” They said: “Yes.” So he said: “It is not as you assume. Indeed, I swear to God, if Ali had been among you, he would have killed many of you, as he killed your brothers on the days of Jamal and Nahrwan!” Then he said: “Perhaps you assume I am not one of the Shias of Ali?!” They said: “Yes.” So he said: “You lied, I am one of his Shias, and today there is no Shia for him other than me and my companions!” They said: “Is it not that we love him?!” He said: “If you loved him, you would follow him!” They said: “We swear to God, we love him!” He said: “If so, then you love a man you do not know, and if you knew him, you would hate him, as those like you who did not follow him hated him, so he killed them relentlessly!” Then they denied his words and considered them great, so he said: “Is it not that Christians love Christ while they do not follow him?! You too love Ali while you do not follow him! Know that the day when Christ returns to the world, he will kill Christians relentlessly!” Then the group fell silent as if a stone were put in their mouths, and Mansoor thought that they were scared by his words and came to their senses, so he said to them: “Turn to God in repentance, you ignorant ones! Because I swear to God, I see nothing of Ali’s Shiism in you but its name, and if you remain like this, you will be the most worthless people to the Mahdi!” Then he got up from among them until he reached the door, then he turned toward them and said: “He who claims that he is one of the Shias of Ali while he sides with anyone other than the Mahdi is lying!”
Translation of the saying:
Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Shirazi informed us, he said: I asked Mansoor about something from the Mahdi’s manner, so he said: “What do these fliers with you say?”[10] I said: “Who are the fliers?!” He said: “The Shias.” I said: “They say that when the Mahdi rises, he will kill all people except for the Shias!” He said: “It is not as they say, but when the Mahdi rises, he will start with the Shia liars, so he will kill them!”
Translation of the saying:
Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Harawi informed us, he said: I came to Mansoor on the evening of one day, then I asked him about the Mahdi, “How has he reached the evening?” So he said: “Know that, I swear to God, he has reached the evening while no one is more hostile toward him than one who attributes affection for him to himself!” Then he said: “Indeed, among those who claim to be the Shias there are some who are more evil than Jews, Christians, Magians, and polytheists.” I said: “And polytheists?!” He said: “Yes, I swear to God, and they are those who revile the Mahdi!” I said: “Glory be to God! Who among them reviles the Mahdi?!” He said: “Those who revile me while they know that I invite them toward the Mahdi, so they revile the Mahdi by doing so.”
Translation of the saying:
Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Balkhi informed us, he said: We were on a way with Mansoor, then some Shia men passed us while striking their chests and backs and saying: “Here I am, O Husain! Here I am, O Husain!” Then he turned toward us and said: “Know that Husain disowns them, as Ja‘far ibn Muhammad disowned them!” We said: “Did Ja‘far ibn Muhammad disown them?!” He said: “Yes, he was informed that some men from the people of Kufa were saying: ‘Here I am, O Ja‘far ibn Muhammad! Here I am, O Ja‘far ibn Muhammad!’ So he disowned them and said: ‘The Talbiyah of the Prophets was not like this! They would say: Here I am, O God! Here I am. You have no partner!’” Then Mansoor said: “Know that, I swear to God, were it not for these lowly ones, people would have entered upon this matter[11] in droves, but they changed it and made it ugly and hateful!”
Translation of the saying:
Hasan ibn Qasim al-Tehrani informed us, he said: Some men from the Shias came to Mansoor, so he said to them: “What brings you here?” They said: “We have come to debate with you!” So he said: “I do not debate with anyone other than your scholars.” They said: “We are from the scholars.” So he said: “Do you think that I do not know your scholars from your ignorant ones?! Whoever is addicted to combining two prayers is one of your ignorant ones, so is there anyone among you who performs them separately?” They said: “No.” He said: “Then leave, for I do not debate with anyone other than your scholars!”
Explanation of the saying:
These profound and important sayings, with their unique eloquence and amazing frankness, show the great difference between the true Shias and the false Shias, expose the false Shiism that creates lowly people and trains foxes and snakes, and destroy its arrogance in a way that it will not be restored until the Day of Judgment!
So peace and mercy of God be upon Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, this shining light, who removes the darkness of ignorance and misguidance, unmasks hypocrites and deceivers, and prepares the ground for the advent of the Mahdi.
