Translation of the saying:

Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Taloqani informed us and said: I told Mansoor: people say why Mansoor refers to Quran too much, but he does not refer to narration that much?! He said: why they refer to narration too much and do not refer to Quran that much?! Has the speech of the Prophet peace be upon him and his progeny not been delivered to them that said: “one of those two (meaning Quran) is greater than the other”?! Be aware the best narration is Quran and every narration which is not compatible with Quran is indeed nonsense[4] “So that the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are inclined to it and that they become satisfied with it and commit which they are committing”! Then he took the Book and said: indeed this Quran talks to you truthfully so ask it to talk! I said: does it talk truthfully, may I be your sacrifice?! He said: yes, the God who makes everything talk, will make it talk! I said: how He makes it talk?! He said: He makes it talk by His Caliph’s tongue! Has the speech of the Prophet peace be upon him and his progeny not been delivered to you that said: “Indeed those two will not be separated until the time when they arrive back to me at Hawz[5]?! I replied: then inform me when His Caliph will talk by Quran?! He said: when you give him palm of your hands and fruit of your hearts!

Explanation of the saying:

The meaning of “palm of your hands” in his honor’s speech is “allegiance” which happens with hand palms and is a promise of obedience and the meaning of “fruit of hearts” is the dearest thing of everyone which is considered as his/her light of eyes. Therefore, in Mansoor’s opinion (God protect him), Mahdi’s advent (peace be upon him) happens when a sufficient number of people pledge allegiance to him and be able to leave their dearest things in his way and this is when he will talk and he will make Quran talk by his speech.

Translation of the saying:

Walid bin Mahmud Sajestani informed us and said: a man from Ahl al-Hadith[7] was arguing with Mansoor and told him: Zakat Fitrah[8] is obligatory for everybody even if he is poor and needy for it, based on the narration by Abu Davoud! He replied: you lied and Abu Davoud lied too! Indeed God Almighty says: “God puts no burden on any person except for what He has given him”! The man said: do you leave an accurate narration?! He said: I leave it for what is more accurate than that, I leave it for the Book of God! The man said: but we never leave an accurate narration! So his honor turned to his companions where some of them were angry and some were surprised and said: whenever you saw people roaming into astray, praise God because He guided you! So his companions said: we praise God because He guided us! Then his honor turned to that man and said: oh man be aware that the best narration is the Book of God and any narration that conflicts with it is Muzakhraf!

Explanation of the saying:

The meaning of the narration which Abu Davoud narrated and was referenced by that man is the narration of Saalabat bin abi-Sayyir which claims God has set Zakat Fitrah for the poor and the rich equally and this is opposite to Quran especially by the perception of that man from it. Therefore, his lie is accusing God a commandment which is opposite to Quran; as his claim about accuracy of this narration can also be an example of lying; because the text of this narration has too much anxiety and its evidence is not accurate by the opinion of some narration Imams like Ahmad bin Hanbal, but it is Mursal[9][10]. But the lie of Abu Davoud, the owner of Sunan book, is accusing the Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) a speech which is opposite to Quran, even if he did not make it himself and it is understood from this part that narrating a lie, is considered a lie. But the word “Zukhruf” or “Muzakhraf” in his honor Mansoor’s words, is not a slangy and insulting word, but it is a Quranic word which means a null talk that its appearance is adorned and its example is a narration that conflicts with the Book of God.
