Translation of the saying:
Salih ibn Muhammad al-Sabzawari informed us, saying: I said to Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani: “Has anything reached you (from Sharia) concerning (the permissibility of) martyrdom operations?” He said: “How is that?” I said: “A believer kills a disbeliever by killing himself.” He said: “No. Does a believer kill himself?!”
Translation of the saying:
Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Bari al-Qandahari informed us, saying: I asked Mansoor about a Muslim who carries a bomb in his bosom. He shoots until his ammunition runs out and a disbeliever approaches him; then he detonates the bomb, killing him and killing himself (with him) as well. He said: “This is among the practices of jahiliyyah. When one of them was surrounded in battle, he would call out: ‘Kill me together with so-and-so!’ Then he would kill him and himself together.” At this point, he paused briefly and then said: “A thousand disbelievers are not worth a single Muslim, so do not do this.”
