Five sayings from his honor asking protection from Muslims for having the authority to teach them and preparing the ground for Mahdi’s advent.

Translation of the saying:

Ahmad bin Abdulrahman Taleghani informed us, said: I heard Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani says: Oh people! Indeed, you want to murder me as you murdered the righteous before me, so do not do so; because, I swear to God, if I stay among you, I will harden men of you as the blacksmith hardens the blade! I polish their eyes by revelations (the Quran), and I pour (its) interpretation into their ears, and I feed them from the cup of wisdom so they would be fulfilled! Be aware that I choose the best of you for Mahdi as the bee chooses the best flowers for its queen! Then he said: Oh God! Indeed, You know that I do not possess a pair of shoes from the world, whereas if I had half of the world, I would donate all of it in your way!

Translation of the saying:

Isa bin Abdul Hameed Jawzjani informed us, said: I saw Mansoor in the city of Anbar (from Sar-e Pol province of Afghanistan) near the tomb of Yahya bin Zaid bin Ali bin al-Hussein while he was saying to the people: "Nothing drags me toward you, unless what dragged this cousin of mine! So do not leave me alone as you left him alone; since, I swear to God, if I would be murdered among you, then God will become angry at you, and He will postpone your relief[1] for a thousand of years, and then you will find neither a guardian nor a supporter for yourself! Then he found them looking at him as if they were about to die, then he said: What religion are you following? They said, "Abu Hanifa's religion!" He said: May God have mercy on Abu Hanifa! If he was alive, he would undoubtedly help me, just as he helped my uncle Zayd!

Explanation of the saying:

Abu Hanifa was one of the few scholars who issued the Fatwa on the necessity of helping Zaid ibn Ali ibn al-Hussein -God’s greeting to them- and persuaded the Muslims to help him, and he himself helped him with 30 thousand of dirhams in order to spend on his uprising. Hence, his honor Mansoor by optimistic suspicion to him says if he was alive today and would see his uprising for the realization of Mahdi's sovereignty, he would support him with stronger reason.

But Yahya bin Zaid -God’s greeting to them both- was present at the raising of his father Zaid against Hisham bin Abdul Malik Umayyad. Hence, after his father's martyrdom in year 121 AH in Kufa, when he saw his companions were dispersed and only ten of them remained, nocturnally left Kufa to Nineveh with his companions because of the fear to be murdered and hoping to achieve his father’s aspiration, and from there he went to Madain, and since Iraq’s ruler was pursuing him, he migrated from Madain to Ray and from Ray to Sarakhs, and after a while rushed from Sarakhs to Balkh and settled there. Therefore, the saying of his honor Mansoor about what has dragged Yahya toward these people, also drags him to them, is an implication of his fear from the oppressors and his hope for the support of these people to achieve the aspiration of family of Mohammad peace be upon him and his household. Until Hisham's death, Yahya resided in the house of a fan of Ahl al-Bayt in Balkh, whose name was Harish bin Abdul Rahman. After Hisham's death and takeover of Walid, Yusuf bin Omar Saqafi, the ruler of Iraq, wrote to Khorasan’s ruler, Nasr bin Siyar to arrest Yahya. Nasr also arrested Yahya and his companions and chained them and wrote its report to Yusuf bin Omar. His honor Mansoor's complaint to the people of this region is due to this very failure of protecting Yahya and his companions, whom easily submitted them to oppressors. However, Walid the Umayyad Caliph ordered their release, and those who were not more than seventy people went to Sarakhs and then to Beyhaq, but they were surrounded by Amr bin Zarareh, the ruler of the Abarshahr, and his troops, and they inevitably fought and in spite of their small numbers, with the help of God, they won. After this victory, they gained double strength and motivation, until they decided to revolt against the Umayyad government again, therefore they returned from there to Herat and from Herat to Jawzjan. Nasr ibn Sayar, the Khorasan’s ruler, in year 125 AH, sent an army to Jowzjan in order to suppress the uprising of Yahya, and they started war with him, but his companions were very small in comparison with them; because a small number of people had come to the battlefield for helping him. He fought with the Umayyad army for three days and three nights until all his companions were martyred, and at the end of the battle an arrow hit his forehead and he himself was martyred. Nasr's troops cut off Yahya's head and sent it to Walid, and hanged his naked body at the gate of Anbar city, which later called Sar-e Pol, and his body was continuously hanging until the Umayyad government was destabilized and Bani Abbas came to power. Abu Muslim Khorasani murdered the killer of Yahya and all who were involved in his murder, and brought down Yahya's body from the gallows, washed ceremonially and enshrouded and prayed and buried him over there. It seems that his honor Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, by reminding these painful and exemplum events, is trying to prevent the repetition of them in this region and invite Muslims to support his movement, which is the resumption of the movement of Yahya and his father Zaid and his grandfather Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib, hoping the grounds for the Mahdi’s uprising become provided.

Translation of the saying:

Abdullah bin Habib Tabari informed us, said: "Indeed, Mansoor saw many calamities and deportations, and indeed I saw him in some of these alleys walking with fear and worry while saying: Who guards me so that I teach the Quran to people just the same as it is revealed, and I practice what is inside of it?! Or who protects me so that I speak a word, which is sufficient for the group of worshipers?! Or who helps me so that I clarify some things and change some things?! Oh God! You know that if my two feet stabilizes for me, I will prepare the ground of the sovereignty of the owner[2] of this thing!

Translation of the saying:

Walid bin Mahmoud Sajjastani informed us, said: Mansoor presents himself to the people of the cities and says: Is there not any man who would take me toward his nation?! Because these two nations prevented me from uprising to the command of my Lord! And I heard him saying: Who gives me place until I do preparation for the kingdom of my Lord and, there be paradise for him?! Undoubtedly, the kingdom of my Lord reforms the earth and fulfills it with justice!

Translation of the saying:

A man from Kunduz informed us, said: "At the market of money-exchangers, I saw a handsome, medium-height, dark hair man with a curly dense beard standing on a ledge and yelling: Who brings me to a safe place, and (in return of this work) there will be paradise for him?! Be aware that, I swear to God, you will not bring me there unless I fulfill what is among its two corners with justice! Then I said to a man: Who is this? He said: A young man from Bani Hashim, who is called Mansoor.

Explanation of the saying:

The purpose of his honor of fulfilling the two corners of the world with justice, is to provide the ground for the Mahdi’s advent, and his Excellency will fulfill the two corners of the world with justice, and the reason for his honor’s seeking of protection from the Muslims is that for full leadership toward Mahdi, he has no choice except being advent and for advent, he needs sufficient freedom and security; because if after being advent for them he would be immediately arrested or murdered by the tyrants, his blessed movement might stay friutless, and the hope of the world's oppressed people would become disappointment. Hence, any Muslim who can make a contribution to the security and freedom of him by transmitting his honor to his homeland or nation or by protecting him around himself, is obliged to enter the field, and the reward for this entry into the field, whenever leads to provision of his honor’s security and freedom, would be paradise, if God wills.

↑[1] . Translator note: the intention of relief is Mahdi’s advent
↑[2] . Translator note: it refers to Mahdi (peace be upon him)
