[Fifth: Imitation of Disbelievers]

Another common form of imitation is following the statement and action of disbelievers; because many Muslims, due to their weakness and the strength of disbelievers in recent centuries, have found themselves in a position of passivity and have followed them; in this way that either willingly and knowingly, they have copied them to achieve the strength they have attained, or unwillingly and unknowingly, they have been influenced by their propaganda and indoctrination and have tainted their own beliefs and deeds with those of disbelievers.

[The Origin of the Strength of Disbelievers and Its Consequences]

However, undoubtedly, the strength of disbelievers in recent centuries has, on the one hand, become possible through the exploitation of weak people and the plundering of their lands, and on the other hand, has been shaped based on materialism and the separation of religion from the world. Therefore, although this has strengthened them materially, it has weakened them spiritually, to the extent that most of them have lost their individual, familial, and social well-being, destroyed the foundations of morality and the infrastructure of culture, and left no possibility for human development in intellectual and ethical aspects. Moreover, to the extent that they have become arrogant and self-satisfied due to their exclusive and one-dimensional strength, they have increasingly been hated by oppressed and poor nations of the world and have sown the seeds of hatred and enmity in deprived lands, especially in Africa and the Middle East. It is clear that this situation, although it produces limited benefits for certain individuals among them in the short term, inflicts unlimited losses on the global community, including those same individuals, in the long term, to the extent that, in an overall assessment, it cannot be considered beneficial for anyone; just as it can be observed that their material strength has not, on the whole, reduced their problems, but rather has added to them in various areas and created new and greater dangers for them; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَبَقُوا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُونَ[1]; “And those who disbelieved shall not think that they have outstripped; they will not be able to cause failure.”
