Rather, it is clear that obeying an oppressive ruler is contrary to obeying the Just Ruler, who is God Almighty, due to the contradiction between oppression and justice, and therefore, maintaining the sovereignty of an oppressor entails denying the sovereignty of the Just, who is God Almighty, and therefore, attributing legislating it to God Almighty is attributing legislating an indecency to Him, which is considered as fabricating lies against Him; as He has said: ﴿وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ ۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ[1]; “And whenever they commit an indecency, they say: ‘We found our fathers doing so, and God has commanded us to do so!’ Say: ‘Undoubtedly, God does not command what is indecent, so do you say something about God that you do not know?!’”; as the Ahl al-Hadith say that obeying an oppressive ruler, although it is an indecency, is the belief of their predecessors, and God has commanded them to do so, while God has explicitly denied such a saying and considered it as fabricating lies against Him, to the extent that believing in it after this declaration may be changing Islam and leaving it.

In addition, it is certain that God’s purpose of the legislation is the realization of justice among people; as He has said: ﴿لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ[2]; “Indeed, We sent Our Messengers with clear signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance so that people rise for justice,” while the sovereignty of oppressors undoubtedly obstructs the realization of justice among people, and therefore, legislating obeying and maintaining their sovereignty defeats God’s purpose of the legislation, and it is considered a contradiction in His legislation, which is impossible; as He has said: ﴿أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ۚ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلَافًا كَثِيرًا[3]; “Do they not ponder on the Quran?! If it had been from anyone other than God, they would surely have found in it many variations.”

Moreover, it is clear that the sovereignty of oppressors, even if it does not require their followers to oppose the intellect and Sharia, requires at least their own opposition to the intellect and Sharia, and therefore,
