[The Incorrectness of the Statement and Action of the Majority of People]

Therefore, the statement and action of the majority of people may be incorrect. In fact, it is often the case that they are; because it is evident that the majority of people do not use the intellect; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ﴾[1], and most of them are ignorant; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ﴾[2], and they do not have a sufficient share of knowledge; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴾[3], and most of them follow conjecture; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلَّا ظَنًّا﴾[4], and most of them do not like the truth; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ﴾[5]. Therefore, most of them are unable to recognize the truth; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ ۖ فَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ﴾[6], and most of them do not believe in it; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ﴾[7], and: ﴿لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ﴾[8], even if efforts are made to bring them to faith; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَمَا أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾[9], unless they taint their faith with polytheism; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللَّهِ إِلَّا وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ﴾[10], and accordingly, most of them are sinners; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ﴾[11], and they are not considered grateful; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ﴾[12], and: ﴿وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ﴾[13]. Rather, most of them are like cattle, but even more astray; as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا﴾[14].
