[Enjoining Right and Forbidding Wrong]

Yes, enjoining right and forbidding wrong—in the sense of calling others toward goodness—whenever its intended meaning is calling them to desire, assist, and obey the Mahdi, does not require his accompaniment. This is because his accompaniment cannot be realized except through their desiring, assisting, and obeying him; and if their desiring, assisting, and obeying him could not be realized without his accompaniment, that would entail an impossibility. Moreover, it is clear that desiring, assisting, and obeying the Mahdi—since they lead to the establishment of his sovereignty and, accordingly, Allah’s sovereignty over the Earth—form the basis of good deeds and constitute the most important right. Therefore, calling to them takes precedence over calling to other acts of goodness and righteousness. In fact, when they exist, calling to anything else has no justification, since it would be calling to what is important despite the existence of what is most important, which is contrary to the priority and practice of intellectuals; rather, it would be calling to what is secondary despite the existence of what is primary, while the secondary cannot be realized without the primary. This is the foundation of the work I do, for I call to desiring, assisting, and obeying the Mahdi. Therefore, whoever accepts my call has added a guarantee to the necessary guarantees for his appearance, and whoever does not accept my call has added an obstacle to the existing obstacles to his appearance. This is because, unlike other callers in the Islamic world, I do not call to myself or to desiring, assisting, and obeying me; rather, I call to the Mahdi and to desiring, assisting, and obeying him, and I do so due to its rational necessity. Therefore, anyone who is wise will cooperate with me in this matter, since it is an act of righteousness and piety. Accordingly, cooperating in it is obligatory due to its necessity; as Allah has commanded it, saying: ﴿وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى[1]; “And cooperate with one another in righteousness and piety.” Based on this, it is reasonable that a sufficient number of Muslims cooperate with me as long as I carry out this work, and that they do not cooperate with me whenever I call to desiring, assisting, and obeying anyone other than the Mahdi;
