as Allah Almighty has said: ﴿ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوا إِلَّا بِحَبْلٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ[1]; “They were struck by ignominy wherever they are found except with a rope from Allah and a rope from people, and they incurred wrath from Allah and were struck by wretchedness,” and He has said: ﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ[2]; “Indeed, Allah does not change anything for a people until they change what is in themselves.”

In summary, establishing the entirety of Islam is as feasible as it is necessary; however, it is contingent upon knowledge of the entirety of it. Knowledge of the entirety of it is possible only for its Legislator and is inevitably obtained from Him, and He has either given it to all the people of Islam, which He has not, or He has granted it to some of them so that others may acquire it from them. There is no doubt that He has done the latter, as He has not done the former. Therefore, knowing those individuals is essential for knowing the entirety of Islam, and for this reason, it is also possible. This means that, inevitably, the necessary means for knowing those individuals have been created by Allah and are traceable; just as the necessary pathways to access them have been established by Allah and are followable. This is something that will be discussed, InShaAllah.

[Establishing Some Parts of Islam Is Conditional on Establishing the Entirety of It]

From here, it is understood that establishing a part of Islam alone—while its other parts are not established—is a cause for caution. This is because each part of Islam has been legislated in consideration of establishing the entirety of it and in proportion to its other parts. Accordingly, each part is beneficial and can be established only when its related parts have been established; considering that the parts of Islam are mutually necessary, influencing and being influenced by one another. Whenever some parts are not established, the establishment of some others will be futile, and potentially even harmful.
