Some Details about Return to Islam Movement
The blessed movement “Return to Islam” with the leadership of warrior (Mujahid) scholar, his honor Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him, is a popular movement with Islamic content and scientific approach. This movement makes effort in order to revive the incipient Islam according to the book of God and the Mutawatir Sunnah of His prophet in light of perfect intellect, and also tries to establish the God’s sovereignty on earth through establishing His Caliph’s sovereignty by gathering and training enough supporters for him. It is clear that such a movement with respect to its content, Islamic approach and ideology, is respected and approved by any Muslim in the world who believes in God’s Caliph, and it is not possible to confront it unless by ignoring all Islamic principles and values; a holy and distinct movement which extends its scope to all Muslims around the world by pure reliance on common and certain resources and full independence of all political and religious movements, and this movement is in a cultural struggle against impediments to cognition in them such as ignorance, imitation, passions, worldliness, prejudice, arrogance, superstitionism, and also is familiarizing them with the pure and complete Islam with no regards to conjectural perceptions and religious heresies. In a way that, it unites them and gradually prepares the necessary preconditions for the fall of the Dajjal’s sovereignty and the realization of Mahdi’s sovereignty as the just caliph who is acceptable by all of them [The article “Promotional Strategies for Confronting the Return to Islam Movement” by Dr. Zaker Maroof].
The leadership of this Islamic movement is tasked to a scholar, pious, compassionate and aware person who is placed in a trans-national and trans-religion position, and he obtains from the most rational and the most certain Islamic resources and invites toward an aspiration which is common and acceptable for all Muslims. His Excellency Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani by propounding the slogan of “Return to Islam” and extending a comprehensive and wide-ranging invitation for all Muslims across the world to a single cognition of Islam as a solid basis for unity and abandonment of existing disagreements, addresses all Muslims around the world from all religion sects and, in this way he prepares the grounds for establishment of the pure and complete Islam in the world. He proposes the indicative and underlying foundation of current situation in the world of Islam and also accurately discovers the root, and deeply and precisely investigates the losses in the field of Muslim’s beliefs and practices in his different and influential book entitled “Return to Islam”. His Excellency Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, unlike all those who work in this field, instead of marginalizing and scheming a series of trivial and insignificant subjects, which only waste Muslim’s time and power, does not leave any speech in this field unsaid and exactly hits the target with disarming frankness and a praiseworthy courage and a wise approach and explains the root of problems of Islamic countries with an eloquent and understandable expression for all the people. The “Return to Islam” movement, is the movement of oppressed people of the end-time for returning to the book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet and returning to the values and aspirations of all the Honest and Martyrs and the Righteous people over the history, and such a movement [unlike the imagination of its enemies], is not a “myth” , but rather it is a “truth”; a luminous truth that has appeared like a light in the darkest era of human history, to bring him back to “the home”, who is like a lost child on the verge of annihilation. “Return to Islam” is not only a name, rather it is a movement; the movement from that which exists and should not, toward that which does not exist and should; moving from conjecture to certainty; moving towards roots and origins; moving towards human nature; «فِطْرَتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ» (ar-Rum/ 30) “the natural instinct God has instilled in mankind”. “Return to Islam” is accepting God’s invitation that has resonated in the world: «وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ» (an-Nur/ 31) “And repent to God, all of you believers, so that you may succeed”! Undoubtedly, the Quran has been revealed «بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ» (ash-Shu'ara/ 195) “in a clear Arabic language” and hence, it is understandable for all wise people; As He has said: «وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ» (al-Qamar/ 17) “We made the Quran easy to learn”. But obviously all people are not wise; meaning they do not benefit from “perfect intellect” since they are surrounded by impediments to cognition such as ignorance, imitation, passions, worldliness, prejudice, arrogance and superstitionism and therefore, they acquire a different and sometimes contrary understanding of the Quran, to the point that some of them adduce verses of Quran in order to prove their most unreasonable beliefs and deeds.
God’s solution to solve this problem is two things: one is inviting people to “rationality” by avoiding “impediments to cognition” which is a prerequisite for the true understanding of Quran, as He has said: «قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ» (Ali’ Imran/ 118) “We have made the messages clear for you, if you use your intellect” and the other on is inviting them to follow the God’s Caliph on earth who is the interpreter and clarifier of the Quran; as He has said: «وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ» (an-Nahl/ 44) “and we revealed to you the reminder, that you may clarify to the people what was revealed to them, and that they may reflect” and these two are the “Thaqalayn” in Islam that adherence to them is the guarantor of the guidance of the nation until the day of Judgment, and wherever a deviation or disagreement has happened, it is due to lack of adherence to them, and accordingly can be solved by adherence to them. Therefore, it is obligatory for all Muslims to place “intellect” as the standard of cognition and prepare themselves for true understanding and complete implementation of Quran through self-purifying from ignorance, imitation, passions, worldliness, prejudice, arrogance and superstitionism, and on the other hand, know God’s Caliph on earth, and by providing sufficient support for him, make him appear, so that he would resolve their disagreements and correct their deviations. This is the gateway to bliss and the string of salvation that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him invites toward it; in a way that he has concentrated all his scientific and cultural efforts on these two factors, and is promoting Islamic rationality and fighting against ignorance, imitation, passions, worldliness, prejudice, arrogance and superstitionism on one hand, and preparing the grounds for advent of Mahdi (peace be upon him) on the other hand. Therefore, accepting and supporting him is obligatory for every Muslim in the world [Question and answer 297].
His honor Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani regards “the lack of God’s sovereignty” as the main and most fundamental problem of the world of Islam which has appeared in the lack of His caliph’s sovereignty over it; Since lack of God’s sovereignty over this world entails lack of cognition about Him and lack of conformity to His laws in it, and lack of cognition about Him and lack of conformity to His laws in it, entails the apearance of corruption throughout the land and sea; As He has said: «ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ» (Rum/ 41); “Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of what they have done that perhaps they will return”; Especially given that the lack of God’s sovereignty over this world comes with the sovereignty of someone other than Him over it; Since this world is a human complex, and a human complex needs sovereignty and by the request to this need, it does not remain empty from sovereignty and with the given description, if God does not rule over it, inevitably someone other than Him will rule over it, while ruling of someone other than Him over it, entails the corruption on earth and the annihilation of nature and generations; As He has said: «وَإِذَا تَوَلَّىٰ سَعَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَادَ» (Baqarah/ 205); “And when he goes away, he strives throughout the land to cause corruption therein and destroy crops and animals. And Allah does not like corruption”; As today, those other than God who rule over this world, spare no effort to corrupt it, and commit genocide and destroy affluent places. How many are innocent women and men who burn in the fire of their wars, and how many are affluent cities and villages which turn to ruins bacause of their invasions! This is the inevitable outcome of sovereignty of someone other than God over this world; Because a world over which God does not rule, is the territory of Iblis and nothing is found in it except for ignorance and disbelief and corruption and oppression. This is the fate of a human who acquiesces to sovereignty of someone other than God, and anyone who acquiesces to sovereignty of someone other than God, is condemned to annihilation. This is why the fire of their wars will not go out and their poverty and misery statistics will not decrease; Since God does not rule over them and their ruling is in the hands of someone other than Him; Rather everyday their wars will flare up more and their poverty and misery statistics will increase; Since God is not their ruler and their ruler is Taqut; As the servant of God, Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani says:
“How will they see the day without sun light and how will they see the greenery without water?! Rather their night will last forever and their land will turn to salt marsh; because the Caliph of God is not governing over them and His law is not ruling over them...” [Question and answer 22].
Another fundamental and important subject that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani has dealt with in the challenging and outstanding book “Return to Islam”, is Islamic sovereign ruling. In his view, sovereign ruling over people belongs to God only, and no one but Him has the right to have ownership over them and He accomplishes His sovereignty over them through acquiring a representative or the so called “Caliph”. With this description the foundation for formation of Islamic sovereign ruling and its political legitimacy, is contingent upon God’s solid and exclusive permission which does not exist for any of the current rulers in the world of Islam and therefore, none of their sovereign ruling is considered Islamic. He deems the need of appointment from God for an Islamic sovereign ruling one of the most obvious and essential principles of Islam and other Abrahamic religions and he believes that argument and disagreement over it, is meaningless. Indeed the author, contrary to all Muslim scholars from all Islamic sects, deems it possible to access such a ruler and he believes lack of people’s access to such a ruler, contrary to their assumption is not God’s wisdom [Hikmah], rather it is their own failure in providing the necessary conditions for getting access to him and whenever they provide these conditions in a complete normal and common process, access to him will be accomplished for them. Therefore with this description, their lack of access to him is not an excuse for them to choose rulers other than him; Because on one hand, with regards to the fact that there is the possibility to have access to the ruler appointed by God, there remains no necessity to choose another ruler, and on the other hand, their lack of access to this ruler, is due to their own failure and therefore, it cannot be an excuse to choose another ruler; even though apparently it may look like they have no other choice. Therefore Islamic sovereign ruling can only be possible by sovereign ruling of God’s Caliph on Earth and sovereign ruling of God’s Caliph on Earth is only possible by will and determination of people...
Hashemi in the rest of his book deals with most important principle of Islam that is Oneness of God [Tawheed] and recognizes it as three kinds, which are Tawheed in genesis, legislation and sovereignty and explains each one of them in details. Then he deals with introducing other fundamentals of beliefs and foundations of Islam’s laws and redefines each one of them in a special and distinct way; for instance he opens new gates about Zakat, Hajj and Jihad toward the people of Fiqh [i.e. jurisprudence] from each of which, other gates can be opened.
That way, he redefines beliefs and laws of Islam by relying on transparent wisdom requirements and by citing religious categorical texts which are nothing but Quran verses and Mutawatir narrations of the prophet peace and salutation be upon him and his household and presents a new and ultimately distinct version of Islam that can be considered an Islamic ideology and school of thought and creates a revolution in viewpoint and approach of Muslims of the world and becomes the ground preparer of their union and coherence in near future and a grand and fundamental evolution in their political and cultural structures.[The article “a review on the book Return to Islam” written by Seyed Mohammad Sadegh Javadian]
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani believes that “the greatest mistake in the world” is not merely “assigning the sovereignty to religious and clerical authorities of the communities”, rather is assigning the sovereignty to the majority of people whom the Lord has not considered to be suitable for ruling and has not assigned them for that, and “religious and clerical authorities of the communities” are among those people; Considering the fact that the Lord of the world is the most deserving one to rule over it, and He does so through introducing “the perfect man” as His representative.
Yes, if you do not believe in existence of God, it is necessary to first believe in His existence with regards to His signs in the heaven and earth and also the discipline that is extended beyond every things, and the harmonic movements that govern the nature. But if you believe in His existence, you must believe in this obvious fact that ruling of the world is only for Him, and mankind does not deserve to rule mankind. The realization of justice in the world depends on the realization of sovereignty of God over it. Sovereignty of God over the world will happen when His Caliph achieves the sovereignty, and His Caliph will attain the sovereignty when you get rid of “religious and clerical authorities” and “non-religious and non-clerical authorities” and stop moving continuously from this one toward that one and from that one toward this one. But turn both sides of your faces to the “perfect man” and seek help from him and helplessly knee down before him, and while confessing your millennial-long mistake, ask him to do you a favor and accept ruling over you in order to relieve you from poverty and abjection and guide you to dignity and prosperity. This is the only way for your salvation, and any other way, is a path of astray to degeneration, whether name it religion or blasphemy; because without God and His Caliph on earth, there would be no difference between religion and blasphemy. Whoever does not pledge allegiance to God and His Caliph on the earth, can pledge allegiance to “religious and clerical authorities” or “non-religious and non-clerical authorities”; rather one can pledge allegiance to a stone or a wood if you will; because they are the same for him/her! One of the beliefs that has come from Mutawatir narrations from the Prophet of God and therefore is certainly taught by him, is the belief in reappearance of a man from his Itrat (household) and progeny at the end of time, named “Mahdi”, who will fill the earth with justice after it has been filled with injustice and oppression. Because, according to Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani’s may God protect him teachings: “because more than forty people from the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) such as Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, Talha ibn Abdullah, Abd al Rahman ibn Awf, Abdullah ibn Abbas, Abdullah ibn Umar, Jabir ibn Abdullah, Hudhayfa ibn Yaman, Ammar ibn Yasir, Anas ibn Malik, Imran ibn Hassin, Awf ibn Malik, Abu Ayyub Ansari, Abu Sad Khudri, Salman the Persian, Jabir Sadafi, Abu Huraira, Abu Amama, Thawban, Umm Salama, Aisha and many others have narrated the narration about his highness, for tens of their own successors and from there for hundreds of Muslims and most of the leaders of Hadith, such as Tirmidhi (Died 279 AH), Abri (Died 363 AH), Hakim (Died 405 AH), Bayhaqi (Died 458 AH), Baqawi (Died 510 AH), Ibn Athir (Died 630 AH), Qurtubi (Died 671 AH), Mazzi (Died 742 AH), Dhahabi (Died 748 AH), Haythami (Died 807 AH), Sakhawi (Died 902 AH), Suyuti (Died 911 AH), ibn Hajar (Died 974 AH), Katani (Died 1345 AH), Albani (Died 1420 AH), and others have asserted the validity and Tawatur of that and many of them, such as ibn Abi Khaythamah (Died 279 AH), ibn Hammad (Died 288 AH), ibn Munadi (Died 336 AH), Abu Na’im (Died 430 AH), Abd al Ghani (Died 600 AH), Hamawi (Died 650 AH), Kanji (Died 658 AH), ibn Qayyim (Died 685 AH), ibn Kathir (Died 774 AH), Suyuti (Died 911 AH), ibn Hajar (Died 974 AH), Shawkani (Died 1250 AH) and others, have written independent books about that and the content of this narration is in compliance with God’s promise in the Quran where He has said: «وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ» (Anbya/ 105); “And indeed we have written in the Psalms after the Torah that my righteous servants will be the heirs of earth” and has said: «وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِينَ» (Qasas/ 5); “And we desire to bestow a favor upon the oppressed people on the earth and to set them leaders and to appoint them as the heirs” and has said: «وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئًا وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ» (Nur/ 55); “God has promised those who have become the believers and have done good deeds to indeed set them as Caliphs on the earth, as He set their ancestors as the Caliphs and has definitely enabled their religion which He has chosen for them to achieve power and to indeed secure them after their fear in order to worship Me and not to associate a partner for Me and anyone who disbelieves thereafter, is indeed from the sinners” and has said: «يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِي اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ يُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ» (Maidah/ 54); “O you who believe! Anyone of you who returns from his religion, so then God will descend a group in future whom He loves and they love Him, they are humble to believers and are tough toward infidels, they fight in the way of God and do not have fear from blaming of the blamers! This is God’s grace that He bestows His grace to every person He wills and God is the wise all solacing all knowing”; Due to the fact that what is acquired from the above, is the certainty of domination of some of the believer, righteous, oppressed, loved, warrior, kind and brave servants of God over the world in future and Mahdi is the complete example of such servants of God, based on the descriptions mentioned in the Mutawatir narration of the Prophet (PBUH) for him and therefore, his domination over the world in future, is certain based on God’s promise in the Quran; as God has said: «يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ» (Fatir/ 5); “O’ You people! Undoubtedly God’s promise is true” and has said: «وَعْدَ اللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ» (Rum/ 6); “This is God’s promise and He will never violates His promise” and has said: «فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِ رُسُلَهُ» (Ibrahim/ 47); “Therefore, do not think that He violates His promise to His prophets” and has said: «إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ» (Dhariyat/ 5); “Indeed what you have been promised is definitely true” and has said: «إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ» (Mursalat/ 7); “Indeed what you have been promised will definitely take place!” Therefore, it is befitting that the certainty of belief of Mahdi’s advent as the divine Caliph of God on the earth and a person from the household of the Prophet (PBUH) who will fill the earth with justice and equity, by performing the complete and pure Islam, to be considered as essentials of Islam and be subject to consensus by all Muslims, so that it be a basis for their union in future.” (Return to Islam, P. 281) As all Abrahamic religions agree on the advent of such a person in the end of times, and this – contrary to the strange imaginations of the miss-minded people -- means the authenticity of the belief in such a person and presence of its root in teachings of all the prophets from the aspect of «كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ» (Ali-Imran/ 64) and therefore, the abuse of it by some religions and sects, does not undermine its validity.
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani regardless of Islamic religions and sects, and only by citing the certain Islamic sources, believes that the earth does not become vacant of “God’s Caliph” at no time and his reason, on the one hand, is the rational necessity for presence of God’s Caliph on earth for teaching the entire of Islam and its fulfilment in a pure and complete way, considering the fact that such an education of Islam and its fulfilment is necessary and it is impossible without presence of such a Caliph and on the other hand, it is God’s word that He clearly has said: «إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً» (Baqarah/ 30); “Indeed, I am the instituter of My Caliph in the earth”, and this is equivalent to His promise that will never fail; as He has said: «لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ» (AR-Rum: 30) “Allah does not break His promise”, and it is equivalent to His tradition that will never change; as He has said: «فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا» (Fatir/ 43) “So you will never find the tradition of Allah to change”. This is while, the only Caliph of the God at the end of time due to the Mutawatir narration of Prophet peace be upon him and his household, is Mahdi and nobody other than him has been prophesized as the Caliph at the end of time; Hence, the certainty of the Caliphate of anyone except for him is impossible after the predecessors (the Salaf), while anything other than certainty is not sufficient in Islam, and this means the impossibility of the Caliphate of anyone other than Mahdi at the present time. Accordingly, it is possible to believe in existence of Mahdi in present time, although he be an unknown and unavailable individual; because his presence is possible even though he does not introduce himself or invite toward himself; especially, since there are many narrations through Ahl al-Bayt about his long occultation prior to his reappearance (see, for example, Ibn Babuyah, Kamal al-Din; Na’mani, Al-Ghibah, Toosi, Kitab Al-Ghibhah), and rendering all of them as fabricated, since they were present in Hadithic sources of Twelver Shia before the death of Hasan Askari (D. 260 AH) such as the Al-Mishikh’s book of Hassan bin Mahboub Zarad (D. 224 AH), is not reasonable (See: Tabarsi, I’lam Al-Wara Vol. 2, P. 258); regardless of the fact that the Sunni Hadithic sources has also referred to such an occultation (Ibn Hammad, Al-fItan, P. 214; Moqaddasi, Uqad Al-Durar, P. 133), but even Bible has also informed of “abducting a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter” due to the fear of being devoured by a “fiery great dragon” and it is said: “The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that it may devour the son the moment she is about to give birth. The woman gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter and her child was snatched up to God and to His throne and the woman fled into the wilderness to a place where God had prepared for her, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days” (Revelation, 12: 4-6).
However, it is worthy of notice that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani has not established his invitation toward preparing the grounds for advent of Mahdi on the belief in his presence at the present time, so that those who do not believe in his presence find the ability to reject his invitation, rather in his book (Return to Islam, P. 290), he has clarified that preparing the grounds for his advent, even based on the lack of belief in his existence at the present time, is necessary; given that on this basis, although his existence is contingent on God’s action which means His act of creation, it is yet contingent on people capability which means their acceptance and readiness, and God will create him at the time when he will be able to appear in that time for them. Therefore, if he does not exist at the present time, preparing for his existence is necessary very much identical to necessity for preparing the grounds for his reappearance, and this is based on the God’s word that He has said: «إنَّ اللهَ لا یُغیِّرُ مَا بِقَومٍ حَتَّی یُغیِّروا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِم» (Ra'd/ 11); “God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves”.
The result is that the advent of Mahdi from the household (Itrat) of the Prophet peace be upon him and his household in order to fill the earth with justice after it has been filled with oppression is not made up by the mind of a particular religion or sect driven by some social pressure in order to frighten the arrogant oppressor class of the society, but it is like the promise of God about heaven and the hell in Islam and other Abrahamic religions based on common sources and certainties that has no conflict with intellect; As if whether he exists or not, it is not permissible to sit down waiting for him, but it is obligatory for all the justice seekers of the world to prepare the grounds for his advent, and by that it is meant to provide necessary preparations to give him security and realizing his sovereignty after his advent toward which Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani invites; as he has said: “I am an announcer ahead of Mahdi who calls: Clear the way” (Saying 3) [Question and answer 309].
The intellect and religion do not allow complete and unconditional obedience to a non-infallible person ... and does not invite, in any way, to his ruling sovereignty, but only invites to ruling sovereignty of whom God has cleansed him with His will from all impurities and has made his ruling sovereignty possible at all time. Once again, the impossibility of ruling sovereignty of such a person whose ruling sovereignty is considered the foundation of legitimacy of other ruling sovereignties is purely an illusion; because it is only caused due to the failure of Muslims in preparing the grounds for it and can be simply resolved by eliminating this failure. However, it is not possible to eliminate this failure through other ruling sovereignties; because it introduces a loophole and a contradiction; given that other ruling sovereignties themselves are the effect of this very cause and in this respect, they cannot be the cause for its elimination. Moreover, Mahdi’s ruling sovereignty, from the perspective that itself is considered a ruling sovereignty, is not different from other ruling sovereignties and therefore, if establishing and maintaining other ruling sovereignties is possible, then establishing and maintaining Mahdi’s ruling sovereignty is also possible, and if establishing and maintaining Mahdi’s ruling sovereignty is not possible, then establishing and maintaining other ruling sovereignties is not possible either. This means an “impasse in legitimacy” for other ruling sovereignties and their only resolution to overcome this impasse is to respond to invitation of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani and gradually withdraw from power in favor of Mahdi and start the process for transferring the power to his excellency which certainly can be the preparation for his advent and realization of his ruling sovereignty. Because his excellency due to his cleanness from all impurities and his desire to establish the pure and complete Islam, is waiting for his own reappearance and ruling sovereignty and if the grounds for it is prepared by readiness of one of the Muslim rulers by withdrawing from power and transferring it to him, he will certainly do it, but the fact of the matter is that none of the Muslim rulers have ever had this readiness yet and none of them have been ready to leave the sweet position of power so far; rather they have been protecting their ruling sovereignty with all their political, cultural and economic might and have never tolerated any eye on it from anyone, even if he be the Mahdi. It is clear that, their ruling sovereignty, as long as they are attached to it in this manner and have not made any plans to transfer it to Mahdi, is an obstacle to advent of his excellency; Whereas, whenever they let go of their ruling sovereignty by heart and offer it to Mahdi persistently and seriously like Ansar with respect to the Messenger of God (PBUH), and not in deception and allegedly like Ma’mun Abbasid with respect to Ali ibn Musa al-Reza, Mahdi will accept from them and rise to rule over them like Ali ibn Abi Talib did after the murder of Uthman, and then in the light of this ruling sovereignty, he will fill the earth with justice, as it is filled with oppression.
Therefore, gradual withdrawal from power in favor of Mahdi and beginning the process of transferring power to him, can lead to his reappearance and realization of his ruling sovereignty; and this is a process that can start in any of the Islamic countries. Because all of them has the option, should they do this process, to turn into a host for Mahdi and a center for his ruling sovereignty, but naturally whoever accomplishes this process earlier, will precede in beneficence and will own the honor and get many worldly and heavenly privileges after the realization of Mahdi’s ruling sovereignty.
All in all, the withdrawal from power by Muslim rulers and transferring the ruling sovereignty to Mahdi is inevitable anyways and must be done sooner or later. Hence, his Excellency Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani recommends them to take this action peacefully and under his guidance as an impartial and visionary supervisor as soon as possible; because they themselves are in one side of a conflict that Mahdi is on the other side and in this regard, they are considered beneficiaries and are deemed untrustworthy and one cannot sit and wait for another thousand years with fingers crossed in hope for their independent and voluntary action; This is while his Excellency Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is neither in possession of any sovereignty nor is seeking nor accepting any, and therefore he can play an effective and catalytic role as a mediator and coordinator in transferring the power to Mahdi. Given all this, if Muslim rulers truly want Mahdi’s ruling sovereignty, they must set aside their pride and arrogance, and fearlessly and unconcernedly utilize his counsel in this realm as an advisor, expert and a guide toward advent of Mahdi and put their trust in God and proceed along the course of the meanders in this tedious path which ultimately leads to salvation in this world and hereafter. This is a perspective of the horizon that one can depict for Muslim rulers with respect to Mahdi and it seems that any other perspective except for this is nothing but a dream and illusion.
It is hoped that with the blessing of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani’s movement, Muslims’ view about Mahdi and his ruling sovereignty becomes an open and realistic view; as he is trying to correct their attitude about his Excellency and bring about his reappearance and sovereignty out of the darkness of illusion and fantasy to the light of reality and objectivity and this is the very practical preparation of the grounds for reappearance and ruling sovereignty of Mahdi and it is not just allegedly, which is being done only by him if you see it fairly and inductively and it is not done anywhere else other than before him. May God grants all Muslims the success of comprehending these profound teachings and privilege them to join the true ground preparers of reappearance of Mahdi and protects them from the deception of the devils who use all their capabilities to prevent them from doing this obligatory and vital task [Question and answer 11].
The preparation for the reappearance of Mahdi peace be upon him is not an undetermined and ambiguous subject, but it has a specific and definite meaning and that is the invitation of people to obey Mahdi Peace be upon him instead of obeying others and to encourage them to establish and maintain his sovereignty instead of establishing and maintaining the sovereignty of others. With this description, a person who does the opposite action, meaning that he invites people to obey himself the way they should obey Mahdi Peace be upon him and encourage them to establish and maintain sovereignty of others rather than establishing and maintaining his sovereignty, is not the preparer of the grounds for reappearance of Mahdi, but clearly, he is an obstacle for his reappearance, even though in an impudently and demagoguery way, he names himself as a preparer of the grounds for his reappearance. Like some of rulers in the region (middle east) who believe that obeying themselves is as obligatory as obeying Mahdi Peace be upon him, and do not have any concern other than maintaining their sovereignty in any way possible, to the extent that they believe maintaining their sovereignty “is more important than protecting a human being’s life even if that human being be Mahdi” (Sahifeye Noor; Vol. 15, p. 221). In this way, they disagree with Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani’s invitation toward sovereignty of his excellency Mahdi Peace be upon him...
Any Muslim ruler, who repents to God, can be the preparer of the grounds for reappearance of Mahdi Peace be upon him and that is when he declares:
1 . He accepts the invitation of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani May God protect him and support it without any expectations.
2 . He does not task people to obey him but tasks them to obey Mahdi Peace be upon him and does not consider any right of sovereignty for himself.
3 . He becomes committed to leave power and pass it unconditionally to Mahdi Peace be upon him and accepts his decree upon himself.
4 . He establishes the bases for transferring the sovereignty to Mahdi Peace be upon him practically and provides operational platforms and legal capacities for it.
5 . He presents guarantee to provide enough security and freedom for Mahdi peace be upon him in his homeland and makes effort to gain his trust.
6 . He organizes and makes the army forces ready, in order to protect Mahdi Peace be upon him anywhere in the world.
7 . He takes pledge of allegiance from people for Mahdi Peace be upon him and trains them and organizes them to support him.
It is obvious that if one of the Muslim rulers does all of these seven tasks with faith and sincerity, in a way that, it will be convenient and satisfactory in the opinion of a just and independent scholar such as Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him, the bases for reappearance of Mahdi Peace be upon him will be prepared and his reappearance after preparation of its bases is certain. Then he will decide about such a Muslim ruler justly, and surely, he will consider his repentance and reformation, and with considering that, he may pardon him and maintain him in his current position or will do something else that he himself is more aware of ...
Any Muslim ruler who does not repent to the God, in the sense that after hearing the invitation of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him, follows his previous approach and does not take any action to do the seven tasks mentioned above, will be the enemy of God and His Prophet peace be upon him and his household and is considered as a corruptor on the earth and accordingly it is obligatory for any Muslim to counteract him in accordance with the commands of promotion of good and demotion of evil. Since, Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani May God protect him has said about such a ruler that: “Anyone except Mahdi, who invites Muslims to pledge allegiance to him, is an Imam who invites toward the fire; as God has said: «وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ ۖ» (Al-Qasas/ 41); “We made them the Imams of those who call to hell”, even he is a Taughut which is worshiped instead of God and takes his followers from light toward darkness; as God has said: «وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُمْ مِنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ» (Al-Baqara/ 257); “And those who disbelieved, their guardians are Taughut, they take them out from light toward darkness, they are the companions of the fire and will be inside it forever”, But anyone except Mahdi, who beats Muslims with his weapon, in order to force them to pledge allegiance to him, has risen in armed revolt against God and His Caliph and has provoked corruption on earth and punishment for those who rise in armed revolt against God and His Caliph and provoke corruption on earth, is in fact to be killed or to be hanged or to get their hands and legs cross amputated or to be driven from earth; as God has said: «إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَنْ يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ أَوْ يُنْفَوْا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْيٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ» (Al-Ma’ida/ 33); “The punishment for those who rise in armed revolt against God and His prophet and provoke corruption on the earth, is in fact to be killed or to be hanged or to get their hands and legs cross amputated or to be driven from earth; that would be a humiliation for them in this world life and they will have a great punishment in Hereafter” And if ever I have capability on the earth, I will punish them for their deeds; since removing them from the path of Mahdi, is obligatory for every Muslim who is capable of doing that.” (Return to Islam, P. 314).
Therefore, duty of Muslims in any Islamic country is to invite their ruler to the above seven tasks with soft speech. Then, if he accepts their invitation, they cooperate with him in doing the above seven tasks, and if he does not accept their invitation, they will invite him with tough speech to the above seven tasks so that he accepts their invitation, and if he still does not accept their invitation, they will put him under pressure with civil and political and economic activities for him to accept their invitation, and if he still does not accept their invitation, they will dismiss him and put someone else in his place who will do the above seven tasks, and if he is not willing to withdraw, they may fight him until he accepts to withdraw or accepts to perform the above seven tasks, and if anyone gets killed in the war with him, he is indeed a martyr, and is like someone who is killed in the service for Mahdi Peace be upon him.
This is the meaning of preparation for reappearance of Mahdi Peace be upon him, which Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani May God protect him has founded and is designing and implementing it, while some rulers in the region fear about it and try to prevent it from happening. Therefore, anyone who wills can join Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani May God protect him in order to help the establishment of the sovereignty of Mahdi Peace be upon him and anyone who wills can join some rulers of the region to help for maintaining their sovereignty; As God has said: «قُلْ كُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ عَلَىٰ شَاكِلَتِهِ فَرَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ سَبِيلًا» (Al-Isra/ 84) “Say everybody may act based on their own principles, Therefore your Lord is more knowing to those who are more guided”! The world of Islam and its leaders, whether consciously or unconsciously, are going to the path Which Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani has depicted long time ago, and they are exactly following the path to which this honorable scholar guided. It means that not only his fundamental approaches and stands are based on certain and assured Islamic principles and are documented by religious original resources, but also at the same time, they are based on objective facts and are adopted in accordance with recent circumstances and conditions of the world of Islam and therefore, it can be the light for the nation of Islam to pass through the path of darkness and hardship in the end of times, and it can initiate hopeful and constructive developments if supported and followed by authorities and leaders in the world of Islam. Furthermore, along this line we can mention here his great revolutionary plan to form a union of Islamic countries for transition toward founding an Islamic state with the ruling of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him). Moreover, we can talk about the incredibly unique and evolutionary approach about preparation for reappearance of God’s Caliph and the necessity of forming an organization or a public gathering in the world of Islam with the goal of protecting and supporting Imam Mahdi (Peace be upon him). Because he believes that the absence of God’s Caliph on earth is a direct consequence of people’s failure in seeking, protecting and supporting Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him). Because Muslims have accompanied and collaborated with every ruler, and they have provided for the prerequisites for the power of every “pure” and “corrupt” leader, and they have never been unable to do that; Nevertheless, when it comes to the Caliph of God, they suddenly become illusory and unrealistic, and consider that the reappearance of Mahdi and his sovereignty is the result of mind-astonishing, indefinite events that are out of their authority; Whereas the reappearance of his excellency is also dependent on political and social conditions and divine traditions that have been applicable for all other former sovereignties are also applicable for Mahdi’s sovereignty. Therefore, there is no doubt that Mahdi (Peace be upon him) has never been able to appear yet because of the lack of strength, public support and deficiency in necessary means and elements for founding a universal revolution such as deficiency in human resources and military forces and economic power. Therefore, it is imperative and necessary that enough Muslims form a spontaneous and independent establishment, in other words, they should set up a “comprehensive public party” which is only loyal to Mahdi in order to remove the obstacles on his way and act for objective and practical preparation for his reappearance. In such a way that they spread the word for seeking Mahdi and supporting him as a “public demand” and a “social slogan” in the world; to an extent that they turn it into a unified voice of the world of Islam and impose their will over the owners of power and wealth.
Perhaps today, the rulers and scholars of the world of Islam still do not believe in necessity to form such an association or may realize it in contrast to their own political and personal interests and greed. But undoubtedly sooner or later, they will submit to this invitation of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him and admit to this undeniable fact that the only available remedy to get out of current problems of the world of Islam, which is like a dangerous vortex and has turned into a confusing sunken, is to confess to their inability and incapability for managing the Islamic world and admit that they have failed to direct it toward the sustainable justice and peace and stability and security and then they should unanimously demand for the Caliph of God and prepare for his advent in a realistic and objective manner by taking the correct approaches and using the leverages they have in hand. There is no doubt that if any time a ruler from one of the Islamic countries accepts his suggestion to step aside from power and deliver it to Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, while he is truthful and sincere and not just claims or intends to deceive and proves his truthful intentions to facilitate advent of Imam Mahdi in action according to what has been instructed in the book “Return to Islam”, God will open the gates for him through whoever he wills; because he does not oppress his servants; as He has said: «وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ» (Aal-i Imran/ 182) and He does not change anything for a nation until they themselves prepares the ground for the change; as He has said: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ» (Ar-Ra’d/ 11) and He is not incapable of doing what is necessary for them; as He has said: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ» (At-Talaq/ 3) and has said: «بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنْفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ» (Ma’idah/ 64); rather the truth is that after achieving these prerequisites by a Muslim ruler and its confirmation by Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani as an unbiased expert and trustworthy supervisor in the form of a mutual action, there is no need for his honor’s relationship with Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, rather Mahdi peace be upon him will get in touch himself; because his guidance at such point will be God’s responsibility and will be accomplished through Mansoor Hashemi Khorasni in this stage according to the principle «إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَى رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ» (As-Saffat/ 99); “I am going toward my Lord and He will guide me”; as he has said in his book “Return to Islam” (page 293&294):
“Yes indeed, fairly access of people to Mahdi, in case that they remove the impediments to it, is not possible without a guidance from him; since they are not aware of his existence or his place in case of existence and accordingly they can hardly find him by searching for him, even by relying on signatures that have been narrated for him. Therefore, it is necessary for Mahdi, to provide people with possibility of access to himself once people have removed impediments, and that may be carried out by sending an ambassador or by writing a letter for them or by another means, depending on possibilities and occasions. Therefore, removing the impediments to have access to Mahdi, which is first of all, lack of necessary security measures for him is obligatory for people and whenever they fulfill that, it will be obligatory for Mahdi to facilitate people’s access to himself and he, due to his purity from all uncleanness and due to his inseparability from the holy book of God, will indeed fulfill that and non-fulfillment of this matter by him until present, is reason of the fact that people have not yet removed impediments to access him.”
It is clear that, this is not the promise of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani so that its violation may occur, rather it is God’s promise and fulfilment of God’s promise is certain, even though its quality and quantity and how it happens may not be clear for people; as He has said: «أَلَا إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ» (Yunus/ 55); “Be aware that God’s promise is true, even though most of them does not have knowledge” as His promise about occurrence of Judgment day is true and certain, even though its quality and quantity is not known to full precision; as He has said: «وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ قُلْ لَكُمْ مِيعَادُ يَوْمٍ لَا تَسْتَأْخِرُونَ عَنْهُ سَاعَةً وَلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُونَ» (Saba/ 29&30); “And they say when is this promise going to happen if you tell the truth?! Say to them: The appointment to you is for a Day, which you cannot put back for an hour nor put forward” and has said: «وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ» (Mulk/ 25&26); “And they say when is this promise going to happen if you tell the truth?! Say to them: Knowledge is only with God and I am just a clear warner”.
Therefore, the truth is that one should prepare the grounds for advent of Mahdi peace be upon him with the faith in God’s promise in his mind and should not let doubt creep into its absolute necessity and usefulness as a result of lack of knowledge about some details in its quality and quantity and should never accuse the person who invites toward it of bombast. Anyway, the hardship of Mahdi’s occultation is a complicated challenge and Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is trying to solve it in a scholarly and practically manner and he needs the support of at least one of the Islamic countries and Muslim rulers to accomplish this extremely difficult and breath taking job.
May God grant all Muslims the privilege of comprehending these valuable wisdom and truths and may soften the hearts of Muslim rulers to accept them so that as soon as possible the grounds for advent of our master Mahdi peace be upon him is prepared and the miseries and problems of the world of Islam end; because He is able to do everything and is very merciful and kind. The clear and important message of this great book, in contrast to your incomplete conception, is not only “negation of others”, but it is “proof of Mahdi” as well as “negation of others”, and this is the manifestation of «لا إله إلا الله» which means “There is no God, but Allah” and the interpretation of «البیعة لله» which means “allegiance is for God” which is the slogan of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, and the basis of his invitation. The entire speech of this reformer and warrior scholar is that there is no sovereignty except for God, and his concept of sovereignty for God, contrary to the despicable and false concept of the Khawarij, is not non-sovereignty of all humans, but it is the sovereignty of a human whom God has appointed, and He has announced his appointment through His book and the Mutawatir Sunnah of His Prophet or through a clear sign, and he is “Mahdi” who exists on earth now but he is absent, and the reason for his absence, contrary to the imagination of the most of the people, is not the will and initial act of God, but it is the will and initial act of people who have not prepared the necessary conditions for his advent and hence, they are responsible for all the consequences and impacts of his absence, although these consequences and impacts are considered as “dead end for the nation of the end of times”; because such “dead end” is not attributed to “Islam” so that it would be in contrast with its “perfection”, but it is attributed to the people who have been the reason and cause for it; «فَاعْتَبِرُوا يَا أُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ» (Hashr/ 2); “So learn the lesson. O ye endued with insight”!...
The strategy of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani for advent and sovereignty of Mahdi, is a comprehensive strategy which includes security, cultural and political dimensions; Because he considers the existence of a sufficient number of strong and reliable Muslims necessary for advent of Mahdi in a sense of the possibility of having access to him in order to protect him from possible threats; with regards to the fact that the only reason for his absence in a sense of not having access to him is his fear from being killed or captured and he believes if his security becomes guaranteed by this number of Muslims, his advent in a sense of having access to him will be certain. Therefore, due to the rational and religious obligation in preparing grounds for his advent, he is gathering a sufficient number of strong and reliable Muslims in order to protect him from possible threats and he asks for help for this purpose from all of them including you; because this honest scholar believes that Mahdi’s reappearance is certain, in case his security becomes guaranteed, even in case of impossibility for his sovereignty; considering the fact that his reappearance is not concomitant with his sovereignty and his reappearance without his sovereignty is still beneficial; rather his advent is outset for his sovereignty; because sovereignty of someone who is not present is difficult and therefore, preparing grounds for reappearance of Mahdi is outset for preparing the grounds of his sovereignty.
But Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani considers that the prerequisites for Mahdi’s sovereignty is the gathering of sufficient number of people in order to support and obey him, and believes that whenever such a number of people take the responsibility to support and obey him, Mahdi’s rise for sovereignty will be certain; since sovereignty is not only a right for him, but also it is considered as a duty for him, to the extent that, if he does not rise after accomplishment of all the required conditions for it, it is deserved for him to be beheaded; because there will be no one responsible for all the wickedness and oppressions on earth, except for him. Therefore, Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani as well as trying to gather enough Muslims to protect Mahdi, is also gathering enough of them to help and obey him and he asks for help from all of them like you in this regard. Because in the opinion of this prodigy of the era, the Mahdi’s sovereignty is certain, in case of the guarantee of help and obedience for him and this guarantee is called “allegiance” in Islam. Accordingly, Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani takes pledge of allegiance from the Muslims of the world for Mahdi, in the sense that he takes from them the commitment that whenever Mahdi appears to them, they help and obey him, and do not avoid helping and break promise similar to the people who treated the Caliphs who preceded him, and with this statement, if a sufficient number of Muslims pledge allegiance to him for helping and obeying Mahdi, his sovereignty will be fulfilled for them, just as if a sufficient number of them pledge allegiance to him for protecting Mahdi, his reappearance will happen for them.
This is a complete and precise program that is issued from the intellect and is in line with the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet, and whoever refuses it, is far away from Islam. “For him there will be humility in the world, and severe retribution in Hereafter, because he has refused to accept the right, and has prevented from right path, so that there be oppression instead of justice on earth, and ruin instead of prosperity, such that those who rule and are rulers other than God, continue their ruling and God’s ruling, like a fictitious imagination, does not go out of the human mind forever, and whoever God does not guide him, there will not be a guidance for him” [Criticism and investigation 21].
Unfortunately, these days, we are observing many signs of division and tension among the Muslims ... It seems that the foundation of these disputes is the subject of “Caliphate” ... To explain the fundamental subject of the Caliphate in Islam, we need to know that the basis of political sovereignty, in general, cannot be outside of two territories, and therefore all sects, groups, parties, and Islamic schools of thought, despite all dissents, will inevitably return to one of these two bases:
The first basis is that appointing a ruler and a Caliph for Muslims is the responsibility of they themselves ... There is no doubt that the official version of the Muslims understanding about Caliphate has been this, and what has casted shadow on the Islamic world today is the result of this approach... The explanation for this is that we have clearly seen the consequences and corruption and evil sequences of such a version over the years from the very early decades of Islamic history until today. From the very beginning, the ruthless dynasties and regimes such as Bani Umayyad and Bani Abbas came to rule with this very justification and in recent centuries, the autocratic and dictatorial regimes of the Islamic countries were dominant over the Muslims by enforcement and pressure and used the power of spear, to the extent that, it can be definitely said that the individualism and the authoritarian tyranny in many Islamic countries can be clearly attributed to the consequences and outcomes of such a version. However, all the current known groups in the world of Islam, such as the ISIS, Taliban, al-Qaeda ... (and the so-called Al-Tahrir group and the followers of Wali-Faqih or authority of jurisprudent) follow this approach.
But the second approach which has been recently raised in the Islamic nation, or to put it in a more precise way, has been revived and reminded of, has fundamental and substantial differences with the first approach, and is considered as a developing and decisive foundation for Muslims in the world. An approach that is stemmed from the Islamic certainties and decisive evidences and is in full harmony with its deep and genuine foundations. In this approach, it is appropriately explained that the determination of the legitimate ruler and the appointment of a Caliph for Muslims is exclusively from the acts of the wise God and it is only He who is entitled to choose a Caliph as His deputy for ruling over the world. Because God is the only real owner and ruler of this world and has genuine sovereignty and absolute authority over His creations, therefore it is natural that He grants His sovereignty to whoever from His servants that He wills, so that in this way, the affairs of the world will proceed in the way that He has willed. Without a doubt, this is a profound and deep-rooted Islamic foundation, which is based on the monotheistic worldview and a profound cognition about God and His divine traits. According to this version, it is the duty of people to obey the Caliph appointed by God and pledge allegiance to him and nobody else as well as to support him by all possible means and they must not leave the appointed Caliph of God alone and turn to the rulers appointed by themselves or others! Indeed, the fulfillment of ruling sovereignty for the Caliph of God will not be possible without the support and obedience of people; because this has been the tradition of God among the predecessors and the tradition of God does not change.
This is the deep and moving foundation that has been presented and explained by righteous and warrior scholar “Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani” in the east part of Islamic world and is pursued by his followers and disciples in the Islamic world, especially in central Asia... Therefore, based on this, it is very necessary for all the groups who have the quest for Mahdi, declare their solidarity and companionship to this movement which is preparing the grounds for reappearance of Mahdi and is also very necessary for those groups who oppose Mahdi and his Caliphate to express their opposition explicitly and announce their stance in this regard clearly. Because it is time for these two fronts to be completely separated from each other and friends and enemies of the true Caliph of God on earth become recognized. This is an event which will happen whether they want it or not; because the distinction between these two approaches and their opposition to each other is the inevitable result and a natural and consequential effect of the mere existence and nature of the two. Therefore, the movement which is based on the first approach that appears to be based in the area of Sham (current Syria), in a completely predestine process attracts all sects, groups, parties, and Islamic schools of thought that possess the same principles and places them in one front, and the other movement based on the second approach that has a base in the region of Khorasan (parts of the central Asia), in a completely predestine process attracts all sects, groups, parties, and Islamic schools of thought that possess the same principles, and this provides the foundation for bipolarization in the world of Islam over the subject of Caliphate. In a manner that gradually, all supporters of the first type of caliphate will gather in Sham (Current Syria), and all the supporters of the second type of caliphate will gather in Khorasan, so that after this purification and separation, the grounds for reappearance of Mahdi will be prepared... According to what has been said so far, we clearly see that two major and substantial fronts have been formed in the world of Islam now; one is the truth front around the axis of Hashemi’s school that only considers Mahdi worthy of caliphate and invites toward him and only him, and the other is the false front around the axis of Umayyad school that is in fact a movement to confront and fight with Mahdi and to prevent him from reaching ruling sovereignty. There is no doubt that those true Muslims who are loyal to the Messenger of God Peace be upon him are in the front among Mahdi’s supporters, but unfortunately, it must be noted that their numbers are still too small and at present most of the Islamic groups, if not all of them, knowingly or unknowingly, are supporting and maintaining the front with Mahdi’s enemies and by their indifference and negligence, willingly or unwillingly are weakening the front with Mahdi’s supporters. However, it is hoped that at least a number of these groups that have truly goodwill and whose purpose is to serve Islam sincerely, after hearing the message of the movement “return to Islam” and its enormous reminder about Mahdi, wake up and become aware of the truth about Caliphate and transfer their ranks to the front with Mahdi’s supporters [The article of the “Islamic world in the process of bipolarization” by Yousef Javanbakht].
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani invites all Muslim members of ISIS, Taliban, Al-Qaeda and other groups just as other Muslims in this world, toward pledging allegiance to God and abandon allegiance to others and wants them to abandon sedition and spreading corruption on earth and do not sacrifice the life and property and women of Muslims to their ambition and their desire for ruling, any more than this; Because God has saved Hereafter for those who do not seek superiority nor corruption on earth, and future belongs to the pious; As He has said: «تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا ۚ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ» (al-Qasas/ 83)! There is no doubt that Mahdi is better than Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Muhammed Umar and Ayman Zawahiri, for Muslims; perhaps those like them probably wish to have him (Mahdi) and do not even deserve to pair his shoes before his feet; Given that Mahdi is God’s caliph on earth based on the book of God and Mutawatir Sunnah of His prophet (peace be upon him and his household), but they are of no significance based on the book of God and Mutawatir Sunnah of His prophet (peace be upon him and his household). With this description, it is better for them and their followers to accept Mansoor’s invitation and return toward Mahdi, if they are truly Muslims and seek to establish Islam.
“Undoubtedly Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani’s invitation toward Mahdi, is a great and challenging examination for supporters of ISIS, Taliban and al-Qaeda; Since if they do not respond to it, they reveal their hypocrisy, and announce to all Muslims of this world that they are not truly Muslims nor seek to establish Islam, rather they just seek power and have no dream except monarchy; Like the oppressors who were before them, and used the life and property and women of Muslims in line with their own interest, until death suddenly descended upon them, like an eagle which descends upon a goat, and took them from the earth and threw them into the Hell; While if they respond to Mansoor’s invitation toward Mahdi and unite with him to create the sovereignty of Mahdi, the grounds for the ruling sovereignty of Mahdi will be prepared and their ultimate purpose will be achieved in the best possible way; Of course in case their ultimate purpose is to establish the pure and complete Islam in this world; Since if their ultimate purpose is something else, the curse of God and His servants is upon them and reaches them sooner or later and scatters them around the earth, like how the wind removes some ashes from ground and then there will be no gatherer for them!
Do Muslims who call themselves warrior Jihadists and divide themselves into the immigrants and helpers, not know that the best Jihad, is Jihad along with Mahdi and the best immigration, is the immigration toward Mahdi and the best help, is the help for Mahdi?! Then why do they not gravitate toward a man from the east called Mansoor who without any claim and expectation invites them toward Mahdi and makes a path to reach him, while he speaks based on the book of God and Mutawatir Sunnah of His prophet and invites to rationality, and forbids from ignorance and imitation and passions and worldliness and prejudice and arrogance and superstition, and takes responsibility for all of his sayings and is the guarantor of them himself?! What has prevented them from responding to him truly and who has kept them from rushing to him?! Is it not worthy to rush toward him by crawling on snow and take themselves to him from far and near lands to rise along with him to help Mahdi?! While he will take them to Mahdi, with his guidance, and Mahdi will fulfill their best dreams, with his sovereign ruling; Since he will establish the pure and complete Islam among them and will bring absolute justice to backyard of their houses and their sheepfolds, rather he will take them to promised lands in which milk and honey flow, and their dusts are pulverized saffrons and their gravels are diamonds and pearls. Woe to those who leave Mahdi in order to join those who are like Baghdadi; Since they prefer darkness over light and blindness over sight and ignorance over knowledge and sell a Yusuf to some worthless Dirhams; Like those whom God has said about: «وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَكَانُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الزَّاهِدِينَ» (Yusuf/ 20); “And they sold him for a reduced price -a few dirhams- and they were, concerning him, of those content with little.”
Is there not a wise man under the sky, and a wise woman on this earth to hear the call of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani and to come out for helping Mahdi? Down with a world in which there are helpers for any bear and supporters for any demon, but there is not any supporter for Mahdi and any helper for the inviter toward him! Do, those who aid the inviter toward himself with their life and property, but humiliate the inviter toward Mahdi and leave him alone, not believe in the resurrection day? The day that earth vomits their bodies to stand on one foot in the God’s law court of justice and to answer His questions about this great betrayal; Since they ignored the inviter toward God and responded to the inviter toward Satan and by doing so, disarranged the rules of this world and tore the string of nature apart. So their punishment in this world, became the domination of the evil people, so that they would cut off the heads of their men and sell lottery tickets for their women, and in the Hereafter, become a burning fire which melts down rocks and burns their very souls” (Adapted from Saying code 113) [Question and answer 16]
Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, is one of the Muslim scholars himself, and accordingly considers the same role for them which he considers for himself, and that role is preparing the earth for establishment of pure and complete Islam in the world through creating and maintaining the sovereignty of God’s Caliph on earth in the way which he has explained in the honorable book “Return to Islam”. Therefore, according to his opinion, Muslim scholars are required to invite toward the Caliph of God instead of inviting toward themselves, and spend time in creating and maintaining his sovereignty instead of creating and maintaining their own sovereignty; because this work is possible if its preliminaries are prepared by Muslims, and its preliminaries are more or less similar to necessary preliminaries for creating and maintaining other sovereignties. Therefore, every Muslim scholar who invites Muslims to pledge allegiance to Mahdi and stops them from pledging allegiance to anyone other than him, is performing his Islamic duty and it is obligatory upon Muslims to accept his invitation and help him in this task, but Muslim scholars who do not enjoin Muslims to pledge allegiance to Mahdi and do not forbid them from pledging allegiance to anyone other than him, are not performing their Islamic duty and it is obligatory upon Muslims to stay away from them [Question and answer 9].
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is merely a Muslim scholar who has risen up with the purpose of making Mahdi peace be upon him appear and bringing him to power, and invites Muslims to pledge allegiance to his excellency instead of pledging allegiance to this and that and in this way, prepares the grounds for performing pure and complete Islam in this world and hence, supporting him is obligatory upon every Muslim. Now if by any reason it is revealed to your honor and some other Muslims that his honor, in addition to this tangible and obvious being, is also promised, supporting him will become more obligatory upon you; As supporting him is also obligatory upon Muslims whom such a thing is not revealed to; Since this Muslim scholar tangibly and obviously calls toward Mahdi peace be upon him and prepares the grounds for the advent of his excellency and this will suffice for every Muslim to support his honor; As God has said: «وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ» (Ma’idah/ 2); “And cooperate in righteousness and piety”!...
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani does not take allegiance from any Muslim for himself; Since he considers the allegiance only belongs to God, and his purpose by that is to pledge allegiance to someone whom God has commanded to pledge allegiance to and he is nobody except Mahdi that pledging allegiance to him is obligtory upon every Muslim. Accordingly, Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani takes allegiance from Muslims of this world for Mahdi; In the meaning that he takes promise and oath from them that if Mahdi appears to them, they protect, support and obey him and do not leave him alone like those who were before them. This is the context of the allegiance which Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani takes from all Muslims, and if sufficient number of Muslims pledge such allegiance to him, the grounds for the advent of Mahdi will be prepared [Question and answer 24].
According to what was explained previously, it became clear that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, in contrast to your illusion, does not invite to “himself”, but obviously invites to “Mahdi”; because his invitation to pledging alliance to protect “Mahdi” and to help and obey him, cannot be understood as inviting to “himself” by any means, and calling it “inviting to himself” is like naming “day”, “night” which is nothing but coercion in naming. Certainly, those who invite to “themselves” are the ones who consider the right of sovereignty for “themselves” and require others to protect, help and obey “them” and have no concern but to maintain their “own” sovereignty; Alternatively, self-centered people who are sunk in the swamp of claims, and have no words but “I am this” and “I am that”, and do not make any efforts but to prove “themselves”; those who consider themselves in the same level with prophets of God, and beside His caliphs, and name themselves by the names of His successors, while they are more useless than a beetle in His eyes! [Criticism and investigation 21].
One of the most important facts explained by his honor Mansoor in the valuable book “Return to Islam” which can be considered as the theoretical basis of Mahdi’s international revolution and the point of moving toward his advent, is the possibility of his honor’s advent provided that a sufficient number of Muslims gather to protect and support him. According to this, the purpose of his honor Mansoor, is forming such community and transferring it to Mahdi, so that he can reappear by its help. With this explanation, the sovereignty that Mansoor is going to establish, is the sovereignty of Mahdi which similar to any other sovereignty, is able to be established if its grounds become prepared, and the legitimacy of realization of its grounds focusing on this mentioned community, is subordinate of legitimacy of Mahdi’s sovereignty; meaning when Mahdi’s sovereignty is legitimate, preparing the grounds for it is also legitimate, and this is considered as reaching the obligatory preliminary which is rationally obligatory, to the extent that its prohibition by the legislator is not possible; because prohibition of a rational obligation is improper, like prohibiting water for Qusl and traveling for Hajj, and this is regardless of the fact that whether any certain religious duty has been received by his honor Mansoor for that or not [Question and answer 45].
Although some erudite Muslims believe he is the promised preparer for advent of Mahdi peace be upon him, and they believe this is obvious with regards to his intellectual, practical, and apparent characteristics and there is no need for hesitation and discussion about it, but he does not focus his efforts on such claim and only works on objective and real preparation for advent of Mahdi peace be upon him. He believes rational and religious necessity of cooperation with him in this path, is a function of this very objective and real preparation, not a function of the claim to be the promised person; because there are many claimants of being the promised person, but there is no objective and real preparer for advent of his honor! Given that most of the claimants do not make any effort but to prove their claim and they do not do any work but to discuss about who they are and who they are not, while it is clear that dignity of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is beyond such efforts and a more important activity has made him busy, which is teaching of pure and complete Islam to Muslims of the world and training a sufficient number of them to help Mahdi peace be upon him; the activity which if gets done by him, advent of his honor will happen, even if nobody considers him as the promised person [Criticism and investigation 11].
The Hojjatieh Society in Iran, like other Shia groups believe that advent of Mahdi is the responsibility of God and not the responsibility of people, with the difference that unlike other groups, they believe in necessity of stoppage until the advent of Mahdi, even if it adds to the oppression and cruelty in the world. Whereas Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him considers advent of Mahdi as the responsibility of people, not the responsibility of God, and he believes that their stoppage until the advent of Mahdi is not permissible, rather it prevents his honor’s advent; because his honor’s disappearance is the result of his natural fear of having the same faith as his fathers whom were murdered and defeated when there were no support from the people. With this description, as long as his fear remains, his disappearance also continues. Therefore, people are obliged to guarantee his safety in some common ways such as forming gatherings, making arrangements and having commitment until the ground for his advent becomes prepared. This is the “Hutta door” and the gateway of salvation which Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him has opened to the Ummah, and it is obligatory upon the community called Hojjatieh and other Shia groups to enter it [Criticism and investigation 52].
What forced God’s Caliph on earth to hide in first place, was the fear of being murdered by the oppressors which also forced Moses son son of Imran peace be upon him to hide; as God, for edification of Muslims has said: «وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ» (Qasas/ 20 & 21); “And a man came from the farthest end of the city, running. He said: O Moses! The chiefs are taking counsel together about you to kill you, so leave and I am one of your well-wishers! So he departed while he was scared and worried, he said: My Lord, save me from the group of oppressors”! With this description, the continuation of his absence is due to continuation of his fear, and his continued fear is because “the group of oppressors” are still able to murder him, and it means that people have not thought about the necessary arrangements to protect him yet, and have not done the necessary proceedings to provide his safety, rather they still support “the group of oppressors”. With this explanation, we cannot say that his absence is only due to actions of the predecessors; as God has said: «أَوْ تَقُولُوا إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ» (A'raf/ 173); “Or (lest) you say that, our forefathers have been polytheists beforehand and we were their children after them, so do you destroy us due to what the followers of the falsehood has done?!”; because of course whenever people give up their predecessors actions and stop supporting “the group of oppressors” and start supporting God’s Caliph against them, the absence of God’s Caliph will end; as God has said: «مَا يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنْتُمْ» (Nisa/ 147); “What would God do with your punishment if you appreciate and believe?!” and has said: «وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ» (Hud/ 117); “And your Lord is not such as would destroy human habitations unjustly while their inhabitants are righteous” and this is the very preparation of the grounds for advent of Mahdi which Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani invites to it and his opponants prevent it [Criticism and investigation 57].
According to Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani’s opinion may God protect him, the condition for advent of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, is his assurance of security and hope for his sovereignty. Therefore, as long as he is not sure about his safety of life and freedom among people and he is hopeless of his sovereignty over them, he will not reappear, even if there is only one day left from the world, and this is the condition that is the responsibility of the people to fulfill; because they have caused his fear of his life and freedom, and his hopelessness of achieving sovereignty because of their fault in protecting and supporting him, and their action of protecting and supporting others who rule instead of him, and according to this rule in Islam, whoever causes a damage to another, is obliged to compensate for it; especially considering that God’s will of advent of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him and bringing him to power, is making justice among people after existence of oppression among them, and this action of Him will not happen without the ability of people; as He has said: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ ۗ» (Ar-Ra’d/ 11); “Undoubtedly, God will not transform anything for a nation, until they transform something within themselves”!
Of course, there is no doubt that God is capable of preserving the security of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, and bringing him to power through His enforced will, even if nobody of the people is happy about it and nobody does nothing to help it, but this is contrary to His tradition and procedure in the past nations, to the extent that it did not even happen to His prophets, and it is clear that His tradition and procedure in the past nations will never change; as He has said: «سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا» (Al-Ahzab/ 6); “God’s tradition were the same in those who have been previously living and you will not find any conversion in God’s tradition!” and has said: «فَهَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۚ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا ۖ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًا» (Al-Fatir/ 43); “So do they expect anything but the tradition of the earlier nations?! So you will not find any change in the tradition of God, so you will not find any transition in the tradition of God” and therefore, Imam Mahdi peace be upon him will never reappear unless when a sufficient number of people come together to protect his life and freedom, and he will never rule over them unless sufficient number of people demand his sovereignty and support it with their wealth and weapons; just as a sufficient number of people gathered together in Mecca by the management of Abu-Talib to protect the life and freedom of the Messenger of God peace be upon him and his household until his honor revealed his invitation, and a sufficient number of people in Medina -after they rebelled against their ruler Abdullah bin Aby- asked for sovereignty of the Messenger of God peace be upon him and his household and they supported it with their wealth and weapons until his honor came to sovereignty, and this is the example of God’s words that has said: «سُنَّةَ مَنْ قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا» (Al-Isra/ 77); “This was Our tradition with Our Messengers who lived before you, and you will find no change in Our tradition”! This is why Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him -this truthful preparer of advent of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him- screams:
“Are not there any free men among you to come together to help this man, that he may represent himself to them?! I swear to God if a sufficient number of you come together, those who help him with wealth and life and love him more than their father and mother and wife and child, indeed he will represent himself to them and will lead them in the way of God...” (Saying 104).
This means that whenever a sufficient number of people come together in order to help Imam Mahdi peace be upon him with their wealth and life, his honor will represent himself to them, although they have had no connection with him beforehand, and this is considered the key of his advent’s lock (for more information about this part, see: “Return to Islam”, chapter “Quality of how people appear Mahdi” p. 294. Also, see: Question and answer 119)…
The special helpers of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him are from the preparers of his advent who will reappear him with their sweat, and will bring him to sovereignty with their blood, while they are the people who are in fear, always in journey, and oppressed on earth, not those who have taken other imams except him, and have made a living out of his absence and have gained power and wealth, and have stood against the preparers of his advent, and then they are greedy to be his special helpers! The special helpers of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him are from the religion of Islam, and the party of God, and the group of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, and they have no affiliation to any other religion, party and group, and they are being chosen due to their faith and righteous act, and their features are written in the Book of God and the wisdom of His friends; as it is mentioned in a letter from Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani:
“O Abdullah! The helpers of Mahdi are not the ones who commit disobedience to God; His helpers are the ones who avoid committing small and big sins; They do prayer at nights and gain knowledge and educate it to others in days. They have faith in God’s promises and are afraid of the day of judgment; The day in which they will stand before God and will see their deeds. The helpers of Mahdi are accustomed to the morals of God’s prophets and are trained by the manners of God’s friends. They accept the truth once it is revealed to them and abandon the wrong once it is disgraced for them. They are neither fanatic and stubborn nor foul-mouthed and vain-tellers. They do not attribute lie to God and avoid those who attribute lies to God. They do prayer at onset of its due time and donate their money to needy people. They control their anger and forgive shortcomings of others. They cherish their parents and endure their bad tempers. They do not disrespect their friends with the excuse of having friendship with them nor do they oppress their enemies with excuse of having enmity with them. They tolerate ignorant people and do not argue with stupid people. They are not too talkative and do not laugh too much nor do they sleep and eat too much. They control their lusts and do not abandon chastity. They do not ogle and are not shameless neither are arrogant nor do they talk nonsense. They do not make friends with sinners and do not accompany with oppressors. They do beneficial works and do not waste their times. They are familiar with the book of God and its Halal and Haram. They do not deny teachings of the scholar and avoid enmity with him, rather respond to his invitation and hasten toward his aid; When he invites them toward Mahdi to bring them together to support him” (Letter 2) [Question and answer 274].
The problems of the world are all rooted in the lack of sovereignty of God, and the sovereignty of God over it will be accomplished by Mahdi’s sovereignty over it, and Mahdi’s sovereignty over it becomes possible by preparing for it, and preparation for it depends on gathering of a sufficient number of people to support him, and Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is creating this gathering, and whoever does not cooperate with him with the best of his/her ability, is contributing in creation of world’s problems, whether he/she is a ruler or a peasant [Question and answer 102].
The advent of his honor does not depend on the gathering of all people of the world to support him, but depends on the gathering of a sufficient number of them to do this work, and a sufficient number of them to do this work can be provided gradually and with the acceptance and help of people like you Insha’Allah. With this description, only those who provide the preparations for it can hope for advent of Mahdi; like a farmer who plows and sows seeds and waters and remove weeds from the land for proper harvesting and then hopes for the harvest; because it is foolish to hope for harvest without this preparation. Therefore, those who are supporting the other rulers and are providing them with wealth and weapons and lives, and still hope for advent of Mahdi, are like a fool who sows seeds on the land of others and hopes for harvest in his own land! These are those who are disappointed with the mercy of God, and are indeed losers. [Question and answer 81].
Mahdi’s need to the demanding of a sufficient number of people, and their practical support for him by their individuals, wealth and weaponry to establish and preserve his sovereignty, is a natural and rational need that has arisen of the sovereignty’s nature, and it is actually necessary for any sovereignty, regardless of who its ruler is, to the extent that even the sovereignty of the Prophet of God peace be upon him and his household did not become established without the demanding of a sufficient number of people and their practical support for him by their individuals, wealth and weaponry, and it did not get maintained, and it is clear that Mahdi peace be upon him is not better than the Prophet of God peace be upon him and his household. With this description, it can be said that the establishment and preservation of sovereignty by the will and proper action of a sufficient number of people, is the tradition of God in the predecessors, and the tradition of God in the predecessors will never change; as He has said: «سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا» (AL-Ahzab/ 62); “Tradition of God that passed in previous nations and you will not find any change in God’s tradition”! Therefore, those who expect Mahdi’s sovereignty to be established and preserved in a different way other than the predecessors’ sovereignties and without the will and proper action of a sufficient number of people, they are waiting for a vain wait; as God has said: «فَهَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْأَوَّلِينَ ۚ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا ۖ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًا» (Fatir/ 43); “Do they expect anything but the tradition of the earlier nations?! While you will not find any change in the tradition of God and you will not find any transition in the tradition of God”!
It is hereby understood that whenever a sufficient number of people do not have the will and do not do the proper action for Mahdi’s advent, they will not force God to change His tradition so that He, contrary to His tradition, appear Mahdi without their will and proper action, but they only cause God taking another tradition of His own traditions, and that it is an ultimatum for them by appointing a warner, and then removing them from the earth with a terminator torment, in order to avoid a false and infinite serialization; as He has said: «قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ» (Aal-i Imran/ 137); “Some traditions have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied”! It means that inviting people to preparation for Mahdi’s advent by Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, will have one of the two results: it will either result in the advent and sovereignty of Mahdi by the acceptance of a sufficient number of them, or will result in revelation of torment upon them by the rejection of a sufficient number of them, as God has said: «وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا إِذْ جَاءَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ الْأَوَّلِينَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ قُبُلًا» (Al-Kahf/ 55); “There is nothing to prevent people from believing when the guidance has come to them and from asking for their Lord’s forgiveness, except that the tradition of the predecessors come to pass for them, or that the torment come to them” and this torment will cause termination of their generation, and ultimately, emergence of another generation which will prepare, by their will and proper action, for advent of Mahdi; as God has said: «إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِآخَرِينَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ قَدِيرًا» (An-Nisa/ 133); “If He wishes, He will take you away, O mankind, and bring others, and God has the power to do that” and He has said: «إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ مَا يَشَاءُ كَمَا أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ» (Al-An'am/ 133); “And if He wishes, He will take you away, and make whomever He wishes succeed you, just as He produced you from the descendants of another group of people” and He has said: «وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنْشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ» (Al-Anbya/ 11); “How many habitations We have smashed that had been wrongdoing, and We brought forth another people after it” and He has said: «فَإِنْ يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَيْسُوا بِهَا بِكَافِرِينَ» (Al-An'am/ 89); “So if they disbelieve in this, We will entrust them to a people who will never disbelieve in it”! Therefore, the invitation of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani toward Mahdi, will not be inconclusive in any ways, but inevitably, it will have one of the two results which both will lead to advent of Mahdi, and this is the exemplification of God’s saying that has said: «قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلَّا إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ ۖ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا ۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُتَرَبِّصُونَ» (At-Tawbah/ 52); “Say: Are you waiting for anything else but one of two good things for us?! While what we are waiting for you is the punishment of God, from Him or by our hands! So keep waiting, we too are waiting along with you”! According to this explanation, those who reject the invitation of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani toward Mahdi, should be aware that they will not frustrate God, but at most will terminate their own generation; as He has said: «وَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِي اللَّهِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ» (At-Tawbah/ 3); “and if you turn your backs, know that you cannot frustrate God, and announce to those who became disbelievers the news of a painful punishment”!
Although most people only care about the worldly life like animals, and do not have any concerns except for eating, sleeping and mating, but for the establishment and preservation of Mahdi’s sovereignty, there is no need for the will and proper action of all of them, but the will and proper action of a sufficient number of them is enough; just as for establishing and preserving other sovereignties in the world, the will and proper action of all the people did not exist, but the will and proper action of a sufficient number of them did exist, and that was enough for them. It is clear that this sufficient number of people, by joining each other in a single queue and being under the teaching and guidance of a perfect scholar, such as Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, and then appropriate cultural, economic, political and other actions in the world, can put pressure on some oppressor rulers and make them resign from sovereignty and also other necessary arrangements for the advent of Mahdi. With this method, it is expected that the wealth, life and weaponry of a country, become accommodated to Mahdi based on the will of most of its people, and this seems enough to convince him to reappear and accept the sovereignty, therefore by this way he can develop his sovereignty to the extent of God’s will. This means that ignoring the invitation of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani by most of the people, until a sufficient number of them accept it, does not prevent the advent of Mahdi, and acceptance of a sufficient number of them is very probable and practicable. Nevertheless, there is no place for disappointment, and you should continue inviting people by following Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani and expand the message of truth to all of them, so that maybe a sufficient number of them accept it, before God’s punishment strike them and turn them into some other people.
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani has not stepped on any of Islam’s beliefs and commandments in order to achieve his Islamic ideal goal, which is why, despite his obvious righteousness and having the most reasonable and legitimate discourse in the world of Islam, he has the least amount of support and facilities, whereas if he, like the others, had stepped on some of Islam’s beliefs and commandments in order to achieve his ideal goal, he would have had the support and facilities from different governments and groups just like them, but he has kept piety for God, and he has tolerated all the hardships and distresses of it, and nevertheless, there is no doubt that final victory belongs to him, because God has promised and said: «فَاصْبِرْ ۖ إِنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ» (Hud/ 49); “So be patient; indeed, future belongs to the pious”! Therefore, the helpers of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani must keep piety and be patient by following their teacher, and do not step on some beliefs and commandments of Islam in order to achieve their Islamic ideal goal, even if it burdens them many hardships and distresses, and of course they must be sure that in this case, the final victory will belong to them; because it is the promise of God and God will never violate His promise; as He has said: «وَعْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ» (Ar-Rum/ 6); “This is God’s promise and He will never violate His promise, yet most people do not understand”! [Criticisms and Investigations 55].
God has said in His Book: «وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْخَيرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ» (Aal-i Imran/ 104); “There has to be a group among you inviting to the good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong. It is them who are the successful” and we hope such a group; because we invite toward the biggest good thing which is “Return to Islam” in light of the Book of God and Mutawatir Sunnah of His Prophet peace be upon him and his household, and we enjoin to the the most right thing which is preparing the grounds for the sovereignty of God’s Caliph on earth, and we forbid the most wrong thing which is surrendering to sovereignty of Taqut and therefore, we hope to be from the successful. In this regard, if God grands us power, we will use it in the best way possible in order to perform this Islamic duty; as He has said: «الَّذِينَ إِنْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَلِلَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ» (Al-Hajj/ 41); “Those who, if We granted them power on earth, will perform prayer, and give Zakat, and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and the result of all works rests with God” and if He does not grant us power, we are not greedy for it; which means we neither oppress to achieve it nor compromise with any oppressor; as God has said: «تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ» (Al-Qasas/ 83); “This is the abode of the Hereafter which We shall grant to those who do not desire to domineer in the earth nor to cause corruption, and the outcome will be in favor of the pious”. This is while the other people oppress to achieve the power or compromise with an oppressor; because they are greedy for power and they think that they cannot achieve it unless by one of these two ways, whereas the power is for God and His Caliph and the believers, and the power of oppressors is nothing but a foam on the surface of water which does not last long; as He has said: «أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيةٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَٱحْتَمَلَ السَّيلُ زَبَدًا رَابِياً وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيهِ فِي النَّارِ ابْتِغَاءَ حِلْيةٍ أَوْ مَتَاعٍ زَبَدٌ مِثْلُهُ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْحَقَّ وَالْبَاطِلَ فَأَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَاءً وَأَمَّا مَا يَنْفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ» (Ar-Ra’d/ 17); “He sent down water from the sky, so valleys flowed according to their measure, and the flood carries along a foam, and there is also a similar foam on what they heat on the fire for the purpose of making ornaments or wares. That is how God illustrates the example of truth and falsehood. The foam then disappears, and that which profits the people remains in the earth. This is how God draws examples”!
Yes, Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him is the inviter of people toward God’s Caliph on earth by wisdom, good advice and the best way of disputing; as God has said: «ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ» (An-Nahl/ 125); “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good advice and dispute with them in a manner that is the best” and this invitation of him is a prerequisite and introduction of a great torment; as he has said: “So, accept my invitation and turn back to Mahdi, so that your sins may be forgiven, and your affairs may be reformed, before that a day comes to you which came to Ād and Thamud and the nation of Noah” (Letter 11) and has said: «أَنا خاتَمُ ٱلْواعِظِینَ وَ لا واعِظَ بَعْدِي إِلَّا ٱلْسَّیْفُ»; “I am the last adviser, and there will be no adviser after me but sword” and his intention of this speech is what Abdullah ibn Habib Tabari informed us and said:
«سَمِعْتُ المنصورَ یقول: إنَّ الَّذینَ یَتَّبِعُونَ الرّأيَ إنّما یَتَّبِعُونَ أهواءَهُمْ و إنَّ المُحَدِّثینَ یَقْذِفُونَ بِالْغَیْبِ مِن مَکانٍ بعیدٍ و إنَّ الهُدیٰ هُدَی اللّه! قلتُ: و ما هُدَی اللّه؟! قالَ: إمامٌ یَهْدِي بِأمْرِ اللّهِ إلیٰ کتابِ اللّهِ و سُنَّةِ نبیِّهِ و یَحْکُمُ بینَ النّاسِ فیما هُمْ فیهِ یَخْتَلِفُون! قلتُ: لا یَقْبَلُ النّاسُ مِنْكَ هذا جُعِلْتُ فِداكَ و لو قَبِلُوا مِنْكَ لَأَکَلُوا مِنْ فَوقِهِم و مِنْ تَحتِ أرجُلِهِمْ و لکنْ لا یَفْعَلُون! قال: دَعْهُمْ یَابنَ حَبیبٍ! فإنَّهُم سَوفَ یَأتِیهِمْ رجلٌ مِنِّي و أنا مِنْهُ فَیَعْرِضُهُمْ عَلَی السَّیْفِ حتّی یَقْبَلُوهُ! ألا إنَّهُ لا یُعْطِیهِمْ إلّا السَّیْفَ و لا یَأخُذُ مِنْهُمْ إلّا السَّیْفَ و المَوتُ تَحْتَ ظِلِّ السَّیْف!»; “I heard Mansoor says: Indeed those who follow opinion, they only follow their desires and indeed narrators only call from a long far-away distance and indeed salvation and guidance is by God Almighty! I said: what is the guidance of God?! He said: A leader who, by order of God, will guide toward the book of God and Sunnah of His Messenger and will decree among people about things that they have disagreements on! I said: may I be your sacrifice, people would not accept this from you, whereas if they would have accepted this from you they would have eaten from beneath their foot and above their head, but they are not doing this! He said: leave them alone oh you son of Habib; because soon a man will come to them who is from me and I am from him, and will deal with them with sword so that they accept it! Behold that he will not offer them anything other than sword and will not accept from them other than sword, whereas death is beneath the shadow of sword!” (Saying 8, number 11).
It is hereby understood that those who do not accept Mansoor’s invitation with wisdom, good advice, and the best way of disputing now, will soon face a great torment in the worldly life, and of course, there will be a greater torment for them in the afterlife; as God has said: «وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ» (Ash-Shu’ara/ 227); “And soon those who oppressed shall know that to what turning point they shall return!” [Criticisms and investigations 60]!
Undoubtedly, the Islamic movement of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, is the most righteous trend in the world of Islam; because while all other trends in the world of Islam invite toward their own sovereignty, this movement invites toward God’s sovereignty, and while all other trends are preparing the grounds for caliphate of Zaid, Amru and Abu Bakr Baqdadi, this movement is preparing the grounds for caliphate of Mahdi and therefore, its righteousness is as clear as the sun in the sky, even though the hypocrites and oppressors do not confess that…
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is moving based on the Book of God, the Mutawatir Sunnah of His Prophet, and in the light of perfect intellect, and he does not accept their requests, and he does not care if they become happy or angry and if they join him or stand against him, and he does not fear the blame of any critic. There are many people who wish him to retreat from his firm positions in the book “Return to Islam” in order to support him, but he is not going to do so; because his positions in that great book, are positions of the pure and complete Islam, and he does not trade with anyone over Islam. Maybe the regime of Islamic Republic of Iran is one of these; because this regime is unhappy by some of his positions, but obviously he does not care about unhappiness of anyone except God; because if he cared, he would become polytheist, and the punishment of polytheists is hellfire, and he cannot stand hellfire.
Yes, he expects the supreme leader of the Iranian regime to help and support him; because he is a Muslim leader and loves the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) Ahl al-Bayt and he is expected to support the reviver of pure and complete Islam and the inviter toward Ahl al-Bayt, but not in exchange for turning into an entity of the regime! It seems that there are some people among them who say Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani must surrender to them, and performs in their regime’s framework, while such thing is impossible; because Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is the servant of God, and does not become the servant of anyone other than Him, and do not serve anyone other than His Caliph on earth. Therefore, the only option they have is to support him because of his invitation toward pure and complete Islam and his preparation for Mahdi’s sovereignty and his opposition to unbelievers and corruptors; which is what he really is, without any flattery and changing the real nature of himself! If they do so, they can gain legitimacy for themselves, with this justification that there has not been any news from Mahdi so far, and they were ruling because of urgency assumption, but now that there is some news from him, they help the preparer for his sovereignty, until he reappears and then they will surrender the sovereignty to him. Otherwise, no legitimacy is conceivable for them, and their sovereignty is equal to Umayyad and Abbasid sovereignties, and this is a truth which is not hidden from their high ranks, although it might be hidden from their low ranks [Criticism and investigation 20].
“Reformism”, “conservatism”, “moderationism” and “revolutionism” are commonly used terms in the political literature of Iran which have specific meanings, and with these specific meanings, none of them is applicable to his honor Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him; because the meaning of “reformist” in Iran’s political literature, is one who accepts the constitution of this country, but believes some of its principles are not being practiced, so contributes in civil activities to implement them, and the meaning of “conservative” in Iran’s political literature is one who accepts the constitution of this country and believes its principles are sufficiently being practiced, and the meaning of “moderatist” in Iran’s political literature means one who agrees with the reformists in some respects and also agrees with the conservatives in some other respects, and “revolutionist” in Iran’s political literature means one who loves and adheres to the 1979 revolution of this country and with these definitions, it is clear that his honor Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is not considered “reformist”, “conservative”, "moderationist" or “revolutionist”; because he does not accept any constitution other than the Book of God and the Sunnah of the Prophet, and he does not consider any sovereignty on earth legitimate, except the sovereignty of God’s Caliph on earth, and he is not committed to any interests, except the interests of the majority of Muslims around the globe. However, if the meaning of “reformism”, “conservatism”, “moderationism” and “revolutionism” are not these conventional and political terms, but are the approaches that Islam has defined, undoubtedly Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him is considered “reformist”, “conservative”, “moderationist” and “revolutionist”; which means that he wants to reform the beliefs and deeds of Muslims, and he is loyal to Islamic principles and fundamentals, and he invites toward moderation, and he seeks to create a cultural and political revolution in the world of Islam in order to establish the sovereignty of Mahdi [Question and answer 171].
Please pay attention to the following points:
1 . Apparently, “some respected scholars in Iran” have forgotten the foundations and criterions of Islam, and have invented new foundations and criterions that have no history in Islam and are unfamiliar to us. It seems that the swamp they have fallen into and are gradually drowning deeper in it, is “indolence”, “politicization” and “populism” in religion. They oblige Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him to defend “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world” despite “all its weaknesses and faults”, while they know that being “Shiite” is not enough for the legitimacy of a sovereignty, and is not a reason to defend it. Therefore, in 1979, they overthrew “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world”, meaning the Pahlavi regime, to establish the regime of Islamic Republic, by this logic that the Pahlavi regime has some “weaknesses and faults” and the Islamic Republic regime is closer to Islam! There is no doubt that if this logic was not correct in 1979, then their regime is not legitimate at the present time; because then this regime would have been established based on this incorrect logic, and if this logic was correct in 1979, their logic is not correct at the present time; because it is in conflict with that; considering the fact that if they are “Shiite”, Pahlavi was also “Shiite” and if “all the weaknesses and faults” of the current regime should be overlooked, “all the weaknesses and faults” of Pahlavi should have been overlooked as well, and if their regime is closer to Islam compared to Pahlavi’s regime, Mahdi’s sovereignty will be closer to Islam compared to their regime and therefore, fighting with their sovereignty for establishment of Mahdi’s sovereignty, resembles fighting with Pahlavi’s regime for establishment of their regime! Yes, they do recall when they began fighting with Pahlavi’s regime to establish the Islamic Republic regime, “some respected scholars in Iran” expressed the same logic and said: Shah is “Shiite” and fighting with the regime of “Shiite” is not permissible; as Mr. Khomeini has referred to this logic of them as “the strikes of unaware and aware but dependent clergies” and has said: “at the beginning of the Islamic struggles, if you wanted to say that Shah is a traitor, you would immediately receive this response that Shah is Shiite!” (Sahifah of Imam, vol. 21, page 278), whereas now “at the beginning of the Islamic struggles”, if you also want to say that the Islamic Republic regime is not enough and the sovereignty of God’s Caliph on earth must be established, you immediately receive this response that the Islamic Republic regime is Shiite! It is hereby understood that “the strikes of unaware and aware but dependent clergies” is still continuing and they still have not learnt through their historical mistakes!
2 . Emphasizing that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him does not accept the “only Shiite sovereignty in the world”, is a demagogic fallacy to abuse the religious prejudices; because the oppositions of his honor are not limited to “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world”, but includes any other regime in the world which is not based on “God’s permission”; regarding that the legitimacy of any regime in Islam depends on “God’s permission”, and defending a regime that does not have His permission, is not possible with foundations and criterions of Islam (for more information, see: Return to Islam, page 153). Hence, “some respected scholars in Iran” have employed other foundations and criterions such as national and religious prejudices as backup to defend “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world”, and this backup is not acceptable for Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him; as one of our helpers informed us and said:
«سَمِعْتُ الْمَنْصُورَ یَقُولُ: مَنْ خَرَجَ یَدْعُو النّاسَ إلیٰ عَصَبِیَّةٍ فَعَلَیْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللّهِ وَ الْمَلائِکَةِ وَ النّاسِ أَجْمَعِینَ! قُلْتُ: وَ ما دُعائُهُ إِلَی الْعَصَبِیَّةِ؟ قالَ: دُعائُهُ إِلیٰ سُلْطانِ قَوْمِهِ أَوْ سُلْطانِ حِزْبِهِ أَوْ سُلْطانِ مَذْهَبِهِ! ثُمَّ قالَ: کُلُّ دُعاءٍ غَیْرَ دُعائِي هٰذا فَهُوَ کُفْرٌ وَ ضَلالٌ وَ تَفْرِیقٌ بَیْنَ الْمُسْلِمینَ»; “I heard Mansoor was saying: whoever comes and invites people to a prejudice, he will be cursed by God and angels and all the people! I said: what is his invitation to prejudice? He said: his invitation to his tribe’s regime or his party’s regime or his sect’s regime! Then he said: every invitation, except my invitation (toward Mahdi’s sovereignty), is a disbelief, misguidance and schism among the Muslims”!
3 . “The only Shiite sovereignty in the world” is defendable, only when it defends Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him because of his invitation toward Ahl al-Bayt’s sovereignty, not when it opposes him because of its short-term political interests, and this is against the assumption of “some respected scholars in Iran”! Seriously, what kind of Shi’ism is this which forces “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world” to oppose the movement of preparation of the grounds for the sovereignty of Ahl al-Bayt?! Can a “Shiite” oppose the invitation to the sovereignty of Ahl al-Bayt and consider it as a deviant movement?! Can a regime that stands against such invitation instead of supporting it, be considered “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world”?! In the most optimistic interpretation possible, “absolute guardianship of jurisprudent”, is a branch of guardianship of Ahl al-Bayt and therefore, it can never oppose its own principle! This means that if the “jurisprudent guardian” opposes the invitation toward Mahdi’s sovereignty, is removed from guardianship and is considered a traitor, and opposing him is obligatory for all “respected scholars”; unlike the opinion of those who have assumed: “preserving the Islamic Republic is more important than preserving one person, even if that person is the Imam of the era” (Sahifah of Imam, vol. 15, page 364). It is hereby understood that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him does not need to defend “guardianship of jurisprudent” and “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world”; because he is inviting to something better and that is Mahdi’s sovereignty which is possible to establish based on his foundation and nevertheless, “guardianship of jurisprudent” and “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world” need to defend him! As “some respected scholars in Iran” must also, first of all, defend Mahdi’s sovereignty and do not think defending “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world” is prior than defending Mahdi’s sovereignty; because defending “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world”, when they are invited toward the sovereignty of Mahdi, is an inconsistent and meaningless act! Nevertheless, “some respected scholars in Iran” who have preferred defending the Shiite regime over defending Mahdi’s sovereignty, are in a clear astray and must repent and correct immediately.
4 . It is clear that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him does not promote “anarchism”; because “anarchism” means not believing in the necessity of having a sovereignty, and Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him believes that having a sovereignty is necessary, rather he considers it the most important need of society and the basis for justice and bliss; with the difference that he believes sovereignty only belongs to God and accordingly belongs to His Caliph on earth, and he believes that His Caliph’s sovereignty on earth can be established just like any other sovereignty, including the Islamic Republic of Iran and therefore, it is obligatory for people to establish it, just as they established other sovereignties including the regime of Islamic Republic of Iran ... it is clear that his belief cannot be “anarchism” with any basis, except on the basis of those who do not believe in the existence of God or His Caliph on earth, and consider “Mahdi’s sovereignty” equal to “no one’s sovereignty”, and they are the unbelievers and hypocrites who do not care about the foundations and ideals of Islam and therefore, they accuse Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protects him of “daydreaming” and promoting “anarchism”; with or without considering the fact that this accusation comes back to Islam, not to Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him; because his invitation is based on the foundations and ideals of Islam.
5 . We have repeatedly stated that the way of “Return to Islam” is open for “the only Shiite sovereignty in the world” and we welcome it; because we do not have personal hatred against its Muslim authorities, rather we want their goodness more than anyone else, and we prefer them to correct their mistakes and deviations in order to achieve happiness of the world and the hereafter. Undoubtedly, correcting their mistakes and deviations will not diminish anything from them, but it will add many things to them and if they are wise, they will not refrain from it; as we have the same expectation from other Muslim regimes; because all of them - more or less - claim to believe in God and His Prophet and have obligation to Quran and Sunnah, and these are common and precious treasures for reaching a mutual understanding and cooperating in order to establish the sovereignty of God and the realization of Islam’s ideals.
Yes, Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him, asks all Muslim rulers and scholars for help, and humbly asks them to abandon arrogance, prejudice and worldliness, and regardless of some minor differences of opinion in some verbal and juridical issues, try to consult and cooperate with him in order to prepare the grounds for advent of Mahdi; may the world of Islam relieve itself from the present sedition and chaos, and return to its glory and flourishing time at the early ages of Islam, Insha’Allah. [Criticism and investigation 65].
Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is not regretful and ashamed of warning about the deviation of all Islamic groups, streams, sects and countries, based on the Islamic certitudes and common things between Muslims with a scholarly and sympathetic statement, and he is also not regretful and ashamed of inviting them all, without any discrimination and exception, toward the pure and complete Islam and preparing the grounds for advent of God’s Caliph on earth; because regret and shame are for someone who has acted against the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet, and such person is regretful and ashamed in this world and hereafter. However, he invites all Islamic groups, streams, sects and countries to accompany him in this blessed way that he follows; regarding that honestly, it is possible for all of them to accompany him in this way, and his movement is so wide that has space for all of them, and is not specified to any of them in reality and not just allegedly, and if they cannot get together under his flag with such a wide shadow, they will never get together under the flag of anyone else, but it is clear that if none of them do so and they all reject him, they will not harm him, but they will harm themselves, and either way, he is the “Mansoor” (The assisted person, an assistance followed by victory) and the victor of this arena; because his purpose is performing the rational and religious duty by explaining the truth of Islam, and this is the goal that has already been achieved; because his message has been broadcasted perfectly with the publication of the book “Return to Islam” and has spread to every corner of this wide world like a blessed seed and naturally, sooner or later, in far or near lands, will bloom one by one and two by two and several by several, and despite all hostilities and conspiracies, will grow and become steady, until it turns into a blessed tree with firm roots and branches rising up into the sky and gives its fruit; as God has said: «وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ ۗ» (Al-Fath/ 29); “And their parable in the Gospel is that of a seed which shoots out its stalk then strengthens it so that it becomes stout until stands firmly on its stem and attracts the farmers and enrages the unbelievers” and has said: «أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ تُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا ۗ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ» (Ibrahim/ 24, 25); “Do you not see how God has given the example of a good word which is like a blessed tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and whose branches reach the sky?! It gives its fruits every season by the will of its Lord, and God presents the parables to the people, so that they may reflect”!
Yes brother! The sacred seed that Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani planted with his blessed hands in every corner of this earth, sooner or later, despite all groups and streams and sects and countries, and with the protection of the oppressed and orphans and the homeless and the barefoot, will turn into a blessed tree whose fruit will be the global justice in the light of Mahdi’s sovereignty, and will nourish the oppressed children, women and men to such an extent that they will never get hungry after that Insha’Allah [Criticism and investigation 10].
Thirdly, the route plan of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is nothing but to fulfill his duty at every given time which he has, and his duty at every given time depends on his capability which expands by people’s support for him; because God does not impose upon anyone a duty but to the extent of his capability, and the capability of leaders is originated from their followers’ support. With this description, if people like you stay where you are and just watch what Mansoor Hashemi Khorassani will do, he will not do anything other than what he is doing now and that is verily introducing the pure and complete Islam to people and teaching and purifying them based on the book of God and the certain Sunnah of His prophet in the light of intellect which is considered a cultural activity; but if those like you suffer discomfort and support this reformer and warrior (Mujahid) scholar, he can do many works so that the grounds for the advent of Mahdi will be prepared, and this is the interpretation of his name “Mansoor”; because “Mansoor”, means “help receiver”, which is meaningful with helping him and without “helper” (Nasir), “Mansoor” does not appear; as God has said: «وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنْصُورُونَ» (Sāffāt/ 171, 172); “And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, [That] they verily would be helped”! [Question and answer 29].
The truth is that “gathering people and facilities” to protect and support Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, does not lead to the success of Allamah Khorasani may God protect him efforts, but it will result in revealing God’s help, and it is God’s help which will lead to the success of this great man’s efforts ... This means that whenever the believers accept the invitation of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him toward the true Islam, and fulfill their duty for progeny of Muhammad peace be upon him and his household, and get together to protect and support Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, God will send His help to them, and will comfort their ways, and will supply them by whatever method and tool He wills, to have them reach their great ideal which is the realization of His sovereignty over the world [Criticism and investigation 51].
His honor Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him has propounded a plan to form a union of Islamic countries, similar to the European Union, as the introduction and foundation for formation of the united Islamic sovereignty in the world by Mahdi, and has considered the solution to this is the will and joint action of a sufficient number of Muslims in the Islamic countries, which first of all, is contingent on their public knowledge and awareness on one hand, and closeness of their thoughts and ideals to each other on the other hand. Therefore, his honor has begun an extended intellectual movement to form a cultural revolution in the world of Islam, and is increasing the level of knowledge and awareness among Muslims on one hand, and is gathering them around a common axis on the other hand and whenever a sufficient number of them in Islamic countries accept it, it can lead to appearance of public movements in these countries and social pressures on their rulers, and eventually lead to formation of this mentioned union and its delivery to Mahdi. It is hereby understood that everything depends on acceptance of this Islamic invitation by Muslims of the world, and this is while the ignorant and ambitious rulers of the region, are preventing it by all sorts of conspiracies and evil propagandas, political and intelligence activities. it is based on this foundation that welcoming such a movement is obligatory for every Muslim per Islamic Mutawatir narrations [Question and answer 92].
This is the call of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, who invites Muslims of the world to accompany him in order to prepare the grounds for advent of Mahdi, but most of them do not hear his call, or they do but do not accept it; because they are either drown in their everyday lives and are used to their miserable circumstances, or they are under the influence of the oppressors’ propaganda and false claimants, and do not trust the rightfulness of this truthful scholar. Some of those who have realized his rightfulness are also a weak and abject group who have only accepted him and do not help him; because to them, preserving their life and wealth and reputation is more important than preserving Islam, and they do not know any work for Mahdi but crying, praying and sending Salawat, whereas Mahdi does not reappear only by their crying, praying and sending Salawat, but he reappears by their protection, help and obedience, and if they continue to cry, pray and send Salawat for another thousand years, it will not suffice them, until they stop their abjectness and weakness, and enter the arena of helping and advising, and accompany Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani in this path; especially in this sedition-full era in which the blind-hearted hypocrites, under the support of oppressive rulers, are preventing people from accompanying him and are forcing them to have enmity against him, and they try every evil and unfair attempt to block his way and stop the publication of his invitation, and they mislead the unaware and naive youth and promote pessimism and suspicion against him by a propaganda full of lies and accusations and distortion of Islamic predictions, under shadow of complete repression and imprisonment of his helpers and supporters, and they do not remind themselves of God’s word that has said: «إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَشَاقُّوا الرَّسُولَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ» (Muhammad/ 32); “Indeed those who disbelieved and prevented others from the way of God and defied the Prophet after guidance had become clear to them, they will never hurt God, and He shall ruin their works” and has said: «الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا يُفْسِدُونَ» (An-Nahl/ 88); “Those who disbelieved and prevented from the way of God, We shall add punishment upon punishment because of the corruption they used to cause” and He has said: «وَالَّذِينَ يَسْعَوْنَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُولَٰئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ» (Saba/ 38); “As those who strive in Our signs in order to defeat, they will be brought into punishment”!
Of course, what has provided the grounds for this great wickedness and satanic works for these blind-hearted hypocrites, in addition to the support and encouragement of the oppressive rulers, is the silence of the scholars and foolishness of many of the people; because the traitor and venal scholars, following the kohens of Bani Israel, has concealed the truth and covered it with falsehood, and they have become the supporters of tyrannical and oppressive rulers instead of the Caliph of God on earth, and they help them against the preparer of the advent of his Excellency; as many people precede each other in following these scholars blindly and fanatically advocating these rulers, and are influenced by inductions and tricks of hypocrites with a childish credulity and naivety, and they do not attempt to investigate freely. In such a dangerous situation, those who have found the truth, do not guide people either, and sit in a corner and watch their misguidance and ruination; as if they do not have any responsibility for them and are only responsible to save themselves, and saving people is only the responsibility of the few oppressed disciples of his honor Mansoor! This is why an enormous whirlpool is formed to drown the people, and a great fire is kindled to burn them, and the clouds of doubtfulness cover the sky, and the flood of sedition covers the earth, and no possibility of salvation will remain, except for those who are completely benefited from freedom, and are enormously enjoying intelligence, and they are only a few, as God has said: «وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُورُ» (Saba/ 13); “And only a few from my servants are grateful”; because most of them become misguided in such a chaotic era, and they do not survive this huge amount of doubtfulness and sedition, and whoever God does not guide, there will be no guide for.
This is a tight knot that has been created now, and one string of it is in the hand of blind-hearted hypocrites, and another string of it is in the hand of oppressive rulers, and another string of it is in the hand of traitor scholars, and another string of it is in the hand of the naive people, and each of them is pulling it in a direction and make it tighter. Meanwhile, the only thing we can do now is to tell the truth based on the Book of God and the Mutawatir Sunnah of His Prophet in the light of intellect, so that those who are completely benefited from freedom and are enormously enjoying intelligence, become distinguished from the others and join each other, and hasten to help Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani from far and near, and raise the black flags like afflicted people, and do not let the flags down, except when they take their revenge from the blind-hearted hypocrites and oppressive rulers and traitor scholars, and free the naive people from their chains, and prepare the grounds for reappearance of Mahdi; «وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ» (Ash-Shu’ara/ 227) [Criticism and investigation 24].
Undoubtedly, the movement “Return to Islam” is the most pure and beneficial movement that has emerged among Muslims since the Ashura movement, and its authenticity, dignity and legitimacy is obvious and undeniable for every wise and fair Muslim who sees it without judging and religious or political prejudice; because this blessed movement -contrary to other intellectual and political trends in the world of Islam- is based on the most certain Islamic fundamentals, and calls toward the most certain Islamic beliefs and practices, and prepares the grounds for the most certain Islamic ideal which is the sovereignty of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him and therefore, except the most blind-hearted and the most unrighteous people, nobody else will reject it and deny to accompany with it. Meanwhile, it is surprising that Muslim rulers and groups, despite all their intellectual and political differences, have agreed on boycotting this liberating and justice-making movement, and they are cooperating with each other to not say or write anything about it, so that per their mindset, prevent its publication among the Muslims (see: Saying 63); because they all have understood that this Islamic movement does not provide any of their one-sided and baseless benefits, and is moving against the general orientation of all of them; regarding that whenever one of them pulls the sovereignty to itself and tries to get more share of power, this blessed movement drives the sovereignty toward Mahdi and tries to bring him to power, whereas none of them considers any share of power for Mahdi, and they do not want to give him the sovereignty, rather most of them do not believe in him or do not take his existence seriously and do not consider him important! It is clear that in such circumstances, a few free noble people who have not traded their religion with the world and fear God and the day of judgment, have found a greater responsibility; because they must try to break this oppressive boycott and cancel this evil plot and do not allow the rightful invitation of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him toward Imam Mahdi peace be upon him become spoiled during political games and religious controversies; given that all these political games and religious controversies are Satan’s plot to entertain the people and prevent them from paying attention to Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, and this is a plot which unfortunately has been effective until today and has worked, but it is hoped that by the sense of responsibility and more efforts of the few free noble people -especially in seminaries and universities- this plot become ineffective and inconclusive, Insha’Allah (for more information about this subject, see articles 21, 49 and 63) [Question and Answer 356].
There is no doubt that this public uprising and movement, will be the largest, most blessed and most history-making revolutionary act of Muslims after God’s Prophet peace be upon him and his household; because it will undoubtedly result in reappearance of Mahdi peace be upon him, and reappearance of Mahdi peace be upon him, based on clarification of God’s Prophet peace be upon him and his household, will lead to global justice and spread of Islam all over the world, and this is how the promise of God will be fulfilled which is sovereignty of the righteous and inheritance of the earth by them. Therefore, it is desirable for Muslims of the world to be cautious and instead of adopting some approaches ... that will waste their time, energy and material and spiritual capitals, hasten toward the main ideal and goal of Islam which is establishment of Islamic sovereignty led by Mahdi peace be upon him with a strong will as well as with honor and sense of responsibility which is expected from every aware Muslim, and do not victimize themselves to the greed and desires of the authoritarians and liar and greedy claimants anymore and also do not spend their energy and belongings on useless and ineffective attempts anymore, rather spend their belongings, equipment, communications, facilities, resources and in general, all their army and means on this blessed goal.
It is hoped that all Muslims of the world, choose the best and most successful approach by understanding their critical, unprecedented and harsh situation, as well as by insight and vigilance of the sophisticated and pitiful dilemmas surrounding them from every direction, and be careful not to repeat the bitter and harmful past experiences again, and instead of insisting on adopting experimented and inefficient approaches, choose a way which its success is guaranteed, and there be no doubt in achievement of their desire and accomplishment of their ambition. In our opinion, the most certain path and the best approach at the present time, is people’s public migration towards Mahdi, and real repentance from the paths that they have taken to this day. There is no doubt that God is the guarantor of success and goodness of destiny of such approach, and He Himself has announced the victory of the oppressed and Mahdi’s followers at the end-time; «وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللَّهِ قِيلًا» (An-Nisa/ 122) [The article titled “The world of Islam; in struggling for the way of rescue” by Seyyed Sadegh Pour Mohammadi].
Inviting toward God requires “patience”, “resistance” and “persistence” and is not compatible with “hastiness”, “tiredness” and “hopelessness”; as the Prophet of God peace be upon him and his household spent 13 years of “patience”, “resistance” and “persistence” in Mecca until God finally helped him, and there is a very good role model in him for us. These are God’s advices to him that has said: «وَاتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيْكَ وَاصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ» (Yunus/ 109); “And follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until God issues judgment, and He is the best of judges”, and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ ۖ إِنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ» (Hud/ 49); “So be patient, indeed future belongs to the pious”, and has said: «وَاصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ» (Hud/ 115); “And be patient; indeed God does not waste the reward of the virtuous” and has said: «وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ» (An-Nahl/ 127); “So be patient, and your patience is solely from God, and do not grieve over them, and do not be stressed by their schemes” and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ» (Taha/ 130); “So be patient with what they say” and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ» (Ar-Rum/ 60); “So be patient, God’s promise is undoubtedly true, and do not let those who lack certainty bore you”, and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ» (Qafir/ 77); “So be patient, God’s promise is undoubtedly true, so if We show you what We promise them, or take you away from this world, they will return to Us” and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُولُو الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَهُمْ ۚ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ ۚ بَلَاغٌ ۚ فَهَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ» (Al-Ahqaf/ 35); “So be patient, as were those of determination among messengers, and do not be hasty regarding them, on the day when they witness what they are promised, it will seem as if they had lasted only for an hour of a day. A proclamation: Will any be destroyed except the sinful people?” and has said: «وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ» (At-Tur/ 48); “So patiently await the decision of your Lord, for you are before Our Eyes” and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌ» (Al-Qalam/ 48); “So wait patiently for the decision of your Lord, and do not be like the man of the fish when he cried out while he was extremely sad” and has said: «فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا» (Al-Ma’arij/ 5); “So preserve with a beautiful patience” and has said: «فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَنْ تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا ۚ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ» (Hud/ 112); “So resist, just as you have been commanded, and also whoever repented with you, and do not transgress, indeed God sees the things you do” and has said: «فَلِذَٰلِكَ فَادْعُ ۖ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۖ» (Ash-Shuraa/ 15); “So invite to it, and resist, just as you have been commanded, and do not follow their desires”; just as the prophets before him, and also their helpers benefited from “patience”, “resistance” and “persistence” and they never felt “hastiness”, “tiredness” and “hopelessness” because of all the hardships and difficulties of invitation toward God, until they received God’s help, and this is God’s tradition with the predecessors, which will also apply to us; as He has said: «وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ قَاتَلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ» (Aal-i Imran/ 146); “Many were the prophets on whose side a large number of God-devoted men fought, so they neither lost heart for all they had to suffer in the way of God nor did they weaken nor did they grieve, and God loves the patient ones” and has said: «أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُمْ مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ ۖ مَسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَاءُ وَالضَّرَّاءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ» (Al-Baqarah/ 214); “Did you think that you enter the Paradise, without being encountered by what your predecessors have been encountered?! Stress and distress befell them and they were convulsed until the Prophet and the faithful who were with him said: When will God’s help come?! Beware that God’s help is indeed near!”; especially considering that God’s basis is examining the servants with hardships and difficulties, until the real believers become distinguished from the false claimers of faith; as He has said: «أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْكَاذِبِينَ» (Al-‘Ankabut/ 2, 3); “Do people suppose that they will be let off just because they said: ‘we have faith’ and they will not be examined?! And indeed we examined those who were before them, so God shall surely reveal those who are truthful, and He shall surely reveal the liars”!
With this description, those who fight along with Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him for realization of the sovereignty of God and His Caliph on earth, must not expect anything other than this or lose their hearts and show weakness and grieve because of hardships and harms and long waits, rather they must make themselves ready for God’s tests, and similar to their good predecessors from the prophets, the truthful, the witnesses and the righteous, practice “patience”, “resistance” and “persistence”, until they receive God’s help and reach their ideal or return to Him before that and receive their reward in paradise, and indeed paradise is enough as the reward (See: Saying 21).
Anyways, it must be noted that a world which has been sunk and trapped hard in ignorance, imitation, worldliness, passions, prejudice, arrogance and superstition, will not be reformed easily and quickly, but it requires an extraordinary and long-term effort. Therefore, it can be said that “hastiness”, “tiredness” and “hopelessness”, are consequences of weakness in faith, and only overcome those who do not enjoy intelligence and sufficient knowledge. They are the only ones who are very “impatient” and “exigent”, and as it has been famously said, they are late and they want to leave early, and they are surprised by observing the difficulties and harms of invitation toward God, and they get tired and disappointed as time goes by, and they stop trying; similar to the fools who lived in illusions due to weakness in their intelligence, and expected Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him to suddenly emerge with a huge army and quickly passes over the oppressors of the region and prepares the grounds for Mahdi’s advent while they are sitting and watching, whereas this was a childish and baseless illusion; because it is obvious that a huge army does not get provided suddenly and the oppressors of the region do not sit and watch Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him quickly pass over them and prepare the grounds for Mahdi’s advent!
His honor, similar to all good people who were living before him, must also naturally start his invitation from a place and expand it gradually and by bearing difficulties, dangers, harassments insults and God knows when, develop it into perfection; in the meantime, the believers must be patient and strong, and do not be captivated by illusions, conjectures and assumptions, and do not get influenced by events and seditions, and only insist on doing their duty, and of course be sure that their efforts will not be fruitless and will leave its influence on the world; just as it has not been fruitless by now, and has left apparent influences on the world; as for example, under his honor’s leadership in some Islamic countries, it has changed Mahdi’s advent from a personal belief into a social action, and has also changed the preparation for his advent from an ambiguous concept into a clear and objective reality, and it is including his sovereignty into the public demands and political deals of Muslims, and gathering a sufficient number of them for protecting and supporting him and in one word, it is changing the situation to his benefit, and this is in addition to the fact that it has extended and deepened the cognition of people from Islam, and has made troubles for the deviant trends, and has made the oppressive rulers anxious and frantic, and it is expanding and progressing every day.
To conclude, the invitation of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him toward the sovereignty of God and His Caliph on earth, is still at the starting point of its path, and it yet has many works to be done, and believers must practice “patience”, “resistance” and “persistence” and avoid “hastiness”, “tiredness” and “hopelessness” because of hardships, harms, and long waits; because God’s promise is right and future belongs to the pious people; «قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ اسْتَعِينُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاصْبِرُوا ۖ إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ» (Al-A’raf/ 128); “Moses said to his people: Ask help from God and be patient, indeed earth is for God, He bestows it to any one of His servants He wills and the future eventually belongs to the pious people” [Question and answer 304].
The first point you need to consider is the practical impossibility of advent of Imam Mahdi Peace be upon him before readiness and acceptance of a sufficient number of people; because the advent of his excellency among people who do not want him and do not follow him and do not help him, will lead to his defeat in reaching his goals and may even lead to his captivation and martyrdom, and this is against God’s intention and promise. Although God is able to succeed his excellency in his goals against people’s will and action and He can do it by enforcement, but this is not compatible with His tradition and wisdom; as He has said: «وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَآمَنَ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعًا ۚ أَفَأَنْتَ تُكْرِهُ النَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ» (Yunus/ 99); “And if your Lord wanted so, all those who are living on the earth would believe in, so do you force people to be believers?!” and has said: «وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّارٍ ۖ» (Qaf/ 45); “And you are not there to compel them”. Therefore, the advent of his excellency will be inevitably postponed until the time of readiness and acceptance of a sufficient number of people, and this is a key and a very important point that has made Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him try to promote readiness and acceptance among people, despite all its hardships…
The second point you need to consider is obligation of performing the religious duty, regardless of whether the outcome would be the desirable result or not; because the obligation of performing religious duty, depends on God’s order as the Lord and superior, not on achieving the desirable result, and God’s order is sometimes for testing or training or afterlife rewarding or reaching other results that is hidden for humans. Undoubtedly, this was the biggest lesson of Imam Hussain in Karbala; because his excellency rose to reform his grandfather’s nation whereas most of the companions did not hope to reach the desirable result and for this reason, they did not accompany him in that matter, rather they prevented him from doing it; just as his few helpers on the day of Ashura, supported him only with the intention to perform their religious duty, otherwise it was obvious with that many bloodthirsty enemies, there is no chance for victory. Also today, Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him by following the master of heaven’s youth, has risen to reform the nation and return them to real Islam and prepare the grounds for advent of Mahdi peace be upon him under the light of God’s Book and the certain Sunnah of His prophet, whereas many people do not have hope to reach the desirable result and for this reason, they do not accompany him in this matter, rather they prevent him from doing it; Heedless of the fact that his intention for doing so is not reaching the desirable result, but is performing the religious duty; because in monotheistic worldview, the standard is God’s order and human’s servitude manifests in obeying this order and therefore, there is no place for “consequentialism”. Consequentialism is in fact the reflection of “exploitation” nature in human that is arisen from his “egoism”, and it only belongs in materialism and atheism worldview; because only in this type of worldview a human does not do anything unless it has a benefit for him in the world and satisfies his propensity for self-interest, whereas such approach, takes his freedom, honor and dignity away, and turns him into a weak, coward and narrow-minded creature, and creates a generation that acquiesce in any humiliation and misery, and always avoids entering the holy-land, by this logic of the Bani Israel that says «إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَنْ نَدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَاخِلُونَ» (Al-Ma’idah/ 22); “There are a tyrannical people in it and we will never enter it until they leave it, so once they leave it, we will go in”! ...
The third point you need to consider is the existence of a certain result for performing the religious duty, and that verily is God’s satisfaction and redemption from hellfire, which is the best result; as God has said: «لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ» (As-Saffat/ 61); “For such a reward should the workers perform”. Therefore, performing the religious duty is never a fruitless and idiotic work; because even if it does not have any result in the world, it leads to prosperity in the hereafter and eternal welfare and convenience, and this is the biggest result that a work could ever have; considering that in God’s court of justice, there is never any equivalence between performing the religious duty and quitting it, and someone who endeavors in His way is not equal to someone who avoids endeavoring in His way with different excuses; as He, frequently and insistently has said: «قُلْ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ» (Al-Ma’idah/ 100); “Say: The evil and the good are not equal, even though the abundance of the evil should amaze you, so be afraid of God, you the wise people, so that you will be blessed” and has said: «مَثَلُ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَالْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْأَصَمِّ وَالْبَصِيرِ وَالسَّمِيعِ ۚ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ» (Hud/ 24); “The example of the two groups is like one being blind and deaf, and the other seeing and hearing, are they equal in condition? So do you not ponder?” and has said: «وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَلَا الْمُسِيءُ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ» (Ghafir/ 58); “And the blind person is not equal to the seeing person, and neither those who have become believers and did good acts, are equal to the evildoers. The less take heed!” and has said: «قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ» (Az-Zumar/ 9); “Tell them, are those who have knowledge and those who do not the same?! Of course not, only wise people will know that” and has said: «أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ أَنْ نَجْعَلَهُمْ كَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَوَاءً مَحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ» (Al-Jathiyah/ 21); “Or those who accumulated bad deeds, assumed that we will set them equal to those who have believed and have done good deeds?! And their lives and deaths are similar?! They judge so horribly” and has said: «أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ» (Sad/ 28); “Or do We place those who have believed and have done good things, equal to corrupts?! Or do We make the pious people like the sinners?!”. Therefore, the helpers of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him who make efforts in the way of realization of God’s sovereignty through realization of His Caliph’s sovereignty, and invite people to pledge allegiance to the One God instead of pledging allegiance to different gods, must be waiting for God’s reward in hereafter, not for a result in worldly life, and they must know that paradise will be an adequate result for their efforts (see: Saying 21). However, such result is not attractive for those who are attached to the worldly life and do not believe or care about the afterlife and therefore, it does not bring them into the field of action, but they are not qualified to join this holy movement with this spirit and motivation either, and even if they join it, they will not benefit it; as God has said about their likes: «لَوْ خَرَجُوا فِيكُمْ مَا زَادُوكُمْ إِلَّا خَبَالًا وَلَأَوْضَعُوا خِلَالَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ الْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّاعُونَ لَهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ» (At-Tawbah 47); “Had they gone forth with you, they would have only added to your troubles, and they would cause sedition in you and there are some spies for them among you, and God knows best the oppressors”...
The fourth point you need to consider is the existence of a certain result for the movement of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him in the world -in addition to hereafter- and that is indeed one of the two: returning a sufficient number of people to Islam and their union and readiness to support Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, which based on a tradition of God, will lead to the advent of his excellency, or their avoidance from this work, having given ultimatum to them, which based on another tradition of God, will lead to their destruction and emergence of new people, of course that consequently will lead to the advent of his excellency (for more about this, see: Criticism and investigation 55). With respect to this explanation, those who assume that the movement of Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him will not lead to any result in the world, they are in a tremendous negligence and mistake, because this movement is giving the ultimatum to the people of the world through wisdom, good advice and the best way of disputing and therefore, should it not lead to one result, it will lead to another result in the world! …
The fifth point you need to consider is that God is able to annihilate the oppressors even if they are armed to teeth and “they entirely fulfilled this unbound universe from bound to bound”, and succeed the oppressed over them; because He has done so several times in the past, and He is able to do it once again, and He has many methods and tools for doing it; as He has said: «وَنُرِيدُ أَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِينَ وَنُمَكِّنَ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنُرِيَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَحْذَرُونَ» (Al-Qasas/ 5 & 6); “And We will to grace those who were weaken on the earth and to make them leaders and to set them as the heirs; and to make them propertied on the earth and to show the Pharaoh and Haman and their troops something that they had fear of”, but He will do it only when the oppressed have left the group of the oppressors and have performed the duty of promoting good and forbidding evil; as He has said: «وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ الْفَصْلِ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ» (Ash-Shuraa/ 21); “Had their separation not been determined We would have settled it between them and indeed, there is a painful punishment for oppressors” and has said: «لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا لَعَذَّبْنَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا» (Al-Fath/ 25); “And had they been separated, We would have surely punished the faithless among them with a painful punishment” and has said: «فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ أَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ السُّوءِ وَأَخَذْنَا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا بِعَذَابٍ بَئِيسٍ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ» (Al-A’raf/ 165); “So when they forgot what they had been reminded of, we rescued those who forbade evil and seized the ones who oppressed with a terrible punishment because of the transgressions they used to commit”. It means that the annihilators of the oppressor is actually not the oppressed, to face the question that how they can cope with it, but it will be God who is able to do everything, and the oppressed only prepare its grounds; in the way that by accepting the invitation of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him toward Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, they leave the groups of the oppressors, and by spreading his invitation across the world, they give ultimatum to everybody, and this allows God to descend His punishment on the oppressor in any form and manner He wants. Therefore, the emphasis of Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him on the necessity of union of the believers and providing the necessary facilities for supporting Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, is actually because this work is the key to closed gates of God’s triumph; because God’s triumph will be descended only when the believers have performed their duty to the best of their abilities; as He has said: «يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ» (Mohammad/ 7); “Oh you who have faith! If you help God, He will help you and make your feet steady” and has said: «بَلَىٰ ۚ إِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هَٰذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ آلَافٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ» (Aal-i Imran/ 125); “Yes, if you are steadfast and pious, and should they attack you suddenly, your Lord will aid you with five thousand marked angels” and has said: «وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ» (Al-Hajj/ 40); “And indeed God will help the one who helps Him. Indeed God is all-strong, all-mighty” and has said: «إِنْ يَنْصُرْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۗ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ» (Aal-i Imran/ 160); “If God helps you, no one can overcome you, but if He forsakes you, who will help you after Him? And in God let all the faithful put their trust” and has said: «أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُمْ مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ ۖ مَسَّتْهُمُ الْبَأْسَاءُ وَالضَّرَّاءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ نَصْرَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ» (Al-Baqarah/ 214); “Did you think that you enter the Paradise, without being encountered by what your predecessors have been encountered?! Stress and distress befell them and they were convulsed until the Prophet and the faithful who were with him said: When will God’s help come?! Beware that God’s help is indeed near!”. Therefore, the secret to advent and victory of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him, is God’s help, and the secret to God’s help is union, readiness and the utmost effort of believers to help him, although according to material and superficial equations, it seems minor and fruitless (for more information about this, see: Criticism and investigation 51).
Undoubtedly, the overall conclusion of these points does not leave any room for disappointment and hesitation of believers for joining the movement of preparation of the grounds for advent of Imam Mahdi peace be upon him; «وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ» (Al-A’raf/ 128); “The future eventually belongs to the pious people” [Criticism and investigation 68].
