(38) Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani may God protect him considers the advent of Mahdi to be the responsibility of the people, not God, and he believes that it is not permissible for them to stop them until the advent of Mahdi, rather it would prevent his advent; because the absence of his Excellency is the natural result of his fear of suffering the fate of his fathers, who were killed and defeated in the absence of people support and therefore, as long as this fear remains, his absence will also continue and hence, the people are obliged to guarantee his safety through conventional means such as community, preparation and commitment in order to prepare the ground for his advent. Lesson 1 Chapter 1

Verse No. 4

قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى:

﴿وَإِذِ ابْتَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ[1]

Translation:

God Almighty has said:

“And when God tested Ibrahim with some words, so he fulfilled them, He said: I am going to appoint you as an Imam for people, he said: And also my descendants? He said: My covenant does not reach the oppressors”.

1 . أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْجُوزَجَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمَنْصُورَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لَا تَخْلُو مِنْ رَجُلٍ عَادِلٍ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا، وَهَذَا عَهْدٌ عَهِدَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ إِذِ ابْتَلَاهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ: ﴿قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ، فَمَاذَا يُنْكِرُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْجُهَّالُ الضُّلَّالُ الْمَفْتُونُونَ؟! أَيُنْكِرُونَ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَكْثَرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَدْ ضَلُّوا؟! ﴿وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ[2]، وَهُمْ يَرْوُونَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُمْ: «لَتَرْكَبُنَّ ‌سُنَنَ ‌مَنْ ‌كَانَ ‌قَبْلَكُمْ شِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ»[3]! فَمَاذَا يُنْكِرُونَ بَعْدَ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَقَوْلِ رَسُولِهِ؟! أَيُنْكِرُونَ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَكْثَرُ الصَّحَابَةِ قَدْ أَخْطَأَوُا؟! وَقَدْ أَخْطَأَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، إِذْ يُصْعِدُونَ وَلَا يَلْوُونَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوهُمْ فِي أُخْرَاهُمْ فَأَثَابَهُمْ غَمًّا بِغَمٍّ وَقَالَ: ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْا مِنْكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ إِنَّمَا اسْتَزَلَّهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِبَعْضِ مَا كَسَبُوا ۖ[4]، وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ، إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْهُمْ كَثْرَتُهُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنْهُمْ شَيْئًا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ، وَهُمْ يَرْوُونَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لَيَرِدَنَّ عَلَيَّ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي فَيُنَحَّوْنَ عَنِ الْحَوْضِ فَلَأَقُولَنَّ: ‌يَا ‌رَبِّ، ‌أَصْحَابِي، فَيَقُولُ: إِنَّكَ لَا عِلْمَ لَكَ بِمَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ، إِنَّهُمُ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمُ الْقَهْقَرَى»[5]، فَمَاذَا يُنْكِرُونَ بَعْدَ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَقَوْلِ رَسُولِهِ؟! أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا الصَّحَابَةَ وَالتَّابِعِينَ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ، كَمَا اتَّخَذَ الْيَهُودُ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ؟! ﴿وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ[6]!

Translation:

Isa ibn Hamid al-Jowzajani informed us, he said: I heard Mansoor say: Indeed, the earth is not empty of a righteous man from the descendants of Ibrahim, peace be upon him, whom God has appointed as an Imam for people, and this is the covenant that God made with Ibrahim, peace be upon him, when He tested him with some words, so he fulfilled them, then “He said: I am going to appoint you as an Imam for people, he said: And also my descendants? He said: My covenant does not reach the oppressors”, so what do these deviant and ignorant people, who have fallen into Fitnah, deny?! Do they deny that most Muslims have gone astray?! “Whereas before them, most of the past people went astray”, and they narrate from the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him and his household, that he said to them: “You will follow the past people’s path step by step”! So what do they deny despite the words of God and the words of His Prophet?! Do they deny that most of the companions made mistakes?! Whereas most of them made a mistake on the day of Uhud, when they fled to the mountain and did not look at anyone, and the Prophet called to them from behind, so He punished them with sorrow upon sorrow[7] and said: “Undoubtedly those of you who fled on the day when the two groups faced each other, satan caused them to slip because of some of what they had gained”, and on the day of Hunayn, when their abundance made them proud, then it did not make them not be in need, and the earth became narrow for them despite its vastness, so they fled[8], and they themselves narrate from the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him and his household, that he said: “Indeed, a group of my companions will come to me (on the Day of Judgment), then they will be driven away from around the Pond, so I will say: My Lord! My companions! Then He will say: You do not know what they did after you! They returned to their past”! So what do they deny despite the words of God and the words of His Prophet?! Have they taken the companions and the followers as gods other than God, as the Jews took their scholars and monks[9]?! “Whereas they have been commanded to worship only the One God. There is no god but He! He is glorified from what they associate with Him”!

2 . أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْجُوزَجَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمَنْصُورَ يَقُولُ: لَا بُدَّ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ إِمَامٍ عَادِلٍ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ، وَذَلِكَ عَهْدٌ عَهِدَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ إِذِ ابْتَلَاهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ: ﴿قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ، فَمَنْ مَاتَ وَلَا يَعْرِفُ هَذَا الْإِمَامَ فَقَدْ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً! أَلَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيَّ وَلَا مُحَمَّدعُمَرَ الْقَنْدَهَارِيَّ وَلَا فُلَانًا وَلَا فُلَانًا -فَمَا أَبْقَى رَجُلًا مِنْ أَئِمَّةِ الْقَوْمِ إِلَّا سَمَّاهُ- وَلَكِنَّهُ الْمَهْدِيُّ! ثُمَّ تَمَثَّلَ بِقَوْلِ دِعْبِلِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْخُزَاعِيِّ فَقَالَ: خُرُوجُ إِمَامٍ لَا مَحَالَةَ خَارِجٌ/ يَقُومُ عَلَى اسْمِ اللَّهِ وَالْبَرَكَاتِ/ يَمِيزُ فِينَا كُلَّ حَقٍّ وَبَاطِلٍ/ وَيَجْزِي عَلَى النَّعْمَاءِ وَالنَّقَمَاتِ/ فَيَا نَفْسُ طَيِّبِي ثُمَّ يَا نَفْسُ أَبْشِرِي/ فَغَيْرُ بَعِيدٍ مَا هُوَ آتٍ!

Translation:

Isa bin Abdul Hameed Jawzjani informed us and said: I heard that Mansoor says: there is no solution for people other than a just Imam from the offspring of Ibrahim peace be upon him, whom God has appointed, and this is the covenant that God has made with him when He tested him by some words, so he finished them: “He said: Indeed I set you as an Imam for people, He said: And from among My offspring? He said: My covenant will not reach to the oppressors”, so whoever dies while he does not know this Imam, has died an ignorant death! Be aware, that Imam is not Abu Bakr Baghdadi or Muhammad Omar Qandahari or this and that -then he did not leave any of the Imams of the nations unless he mentioned their names- rather he is Mahdi! Then he used the poem from Da’bal bin Ali Khazaei as an example and said: The advent of the Imam who will inevitably come out/ will revolt in the name of God and His blessings/ will separate every right and wrong among us/ will reward good deeds and will punish bad deeds/ Oh you the soul! Be calm and happy/ because anything that is to come, is not far away!

3 . أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، قَالَ: جَزَى اللَّهُ الْمَنْصُورَ خَيْرًا! مَا تَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ إِلَّا وَفَتَحَ بَابًا مِنَ الْعِلْمِ أَوْ أَغْلَقَ بَابًا مِنَ الْجَهْلِ وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: لَيْسَ الْإِمَامُ مَنْ يُسَمَّى إِمَامًا وَلَكِنَّ الْإِمَامَ مَنْ يُقَلَّدُ وَهُوَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِمَامَانِ: إِمَامٌ جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا فَيَهْدِي بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ خَلِيفَةُ اللَّهِ الْمَهْدِيُّ وَإِمَامٌ مِنْ دُونِهِ وَهُوَ خَلِيفَةُ الشَّيْطَانِ الدَّجَّالُ! فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا الدَّجَّالَ إِمَامًا!

Translation:

Hasan ibn Qasim al-Tehrani informed us, he said: May God reward Mansoor well! Never did he speak of anything unless he opened a door to knowledge or closed a door to ignorance, and indeed, I heard him say: An Imam is not someone who is called Imam, rather an Imam is someone who is imitated, and he is two Imams in the Book of God: An Imam whom God has appointed as an Imam for people, so he leads with the commandment of God, and he is the Caliph of God, Mahdi, and an Imam other than him, and he is the caliph of satan, Dajjal! So fear God, O children of Adam, and do not take Dajjal as Imam!
