Hadith No. 31

“The earth does not remain without Allah’s Caliph for even a single hour while there is a respite for people.”

Translation:

Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Bābawayh [Died in 381 AH] has narrated in the book of “Kamāl al-Din wa Tamām al-Ni’mah”, (in this way that) has said: My father may God be pleased with him, narrated to us, he said: Sa’d ibn Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa and Ibrāhim ibn Mahziār narrated to us, from Ali ibn Mahziār, from Husain ibn Sa’id, from Abu Ali al-Bajali, from Abān Ibn ‘Uthmān, from Zurārah Ibn A’yayn, from Abu Abdullah, meaning Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Sādiq, peace be upon him who at the end of a narration about Husain ibn Ali peace be upon them, said:

And if it were not for one of the proofs of God who is on earth, the earth would have thrown out all that is in it, and would have swallowed up all that is on it, indeed the earth would not be empty of the proof for an hour.

Attestation No. 1

Translation:

Also, Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Bābawayh [Died in 381 AH] has narrated in the book of “Kamāl al-Din wa Tamām al-Ni’mah”, has said: My father may God be pleased with him, narrated to us, he said: Sa’d ibn Abdullah and Abdullah ibn Ja’far ibn al-Himyari narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn Nuh, from Rabi’ ibn Muhammad ibn al-Musli, from Abdullah ibn Sulaymān al-‘Amiri, from Abu Abdullah (Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Sādiq) peace be upon him that said: The earth has never existed unless there has been a proof for God Almighty on it who has made the Halāl and Harām get recognized and has invited toward God the Blessed and the Exalted, and the proof will not be removed from the earth until forty days before the Day of Judgment, so when the proof is removed, the door of repentance will be closed and no one's faith will benefit him any more if he has not believed in before the proof get removed. They are the worst creatures of God and they are the ones on whom the Day of Resurrection will rise.

Consideration

Translation:

Mansoor may God protect him, said: There is no conflict between these two narrations; because the earth will not be empty of the Caliph of God for an hour while there is a deadline for people, and when the Caliph of God is removed, the beginnings of the Day of Judgment will appear, so the earth and the skies will change and the interpretation of the word of God will come, who has said: “Are they waiting for something other than that the Angels come to them or your Lord comes or some of the signs of your Lord come? On the day when some of the signs of your Lord come, no one’s faith will benefit him If he has not already believed or has not attained any good in his faith, say, wait that we are also waiting”. Yes, the narration in which it has been said: “The proof was before people and is with people and will be after people” and “If there are only two people on earth, one of them will be the Imam” and “the last person to die is the Imam” and “there are always a group of my nation who appear upon the truth until the Day of Judgment rises” are in conflict with it, but the narrations in which it has been said: “The Day of Judgment will not rise except upon the worst people” and “The Day of Judgment will not rise until the name of God is not mentioned on earth” and “Near the Day of Judgment a good breeze blows and takes the life of every believer” confirm it, and the conflict of narrations in this regard is old and famous, and I will talk about it in the future, Insha’Allah.
