5	21	Identity and attributes Upon seeing your black flags emerge in Khorasan to prepare the ground for the Mahdi’s advent, and learning of your invitation toward his government apart from that of other people, we were reminded of the words of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family): “When the black flags set off from Khorasan, rush toward them, even by crawling on snow, for their owners will ask for the truth, but it will not be given to them, then they will ask for it again, but it will not be given to them, then they will fight and win, and what they asked for will be given to them, then they will hand it over to the Mahdi,” and in another narration: “Black flags will come from the East, as if their hearts are pieces of iron. I do not doubt that he has high scholarly degrees; because it is clear that understanding these precise and profound scholarly points that he has explained in his book is not possible except for those who have a place in knowledge. 3	10	Identity and attributes I read the book Return to Islam several times and saw no problem with it. To the best of my knowledge, I found everything in it to conform to the intellect and Sharia. However, the key question is, how can I be sure that its author, His Eminence Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, himself follows these truths in practice and with certainty, and is not like other scholars who say what they do not do? Perhaps I can be sure of that if I know that he is the promised Mansoor Khorasani, of whom the Prophet and his Ahl al-Bayt have given glad tidings that he is the preparer of the ground for the advent of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him). If this is the case, then he definitely follows these truths in practice and with certainty.	2015-01-26
