In his book Return to Islam (p. 242), His Eminence Mansoor says that it is obligatory to present narrations to the Quran, as stated in the Hadith; because he believes that narrations cannot abrogate, specify, or generalize the Quran. Is the Hadith of presenting narrations to the Quran authentic according to the criteria of hadith scholars? I have seen some of them defend the narrations in their legacy and say that the Hadith of presenting is not authentic and has weak chains of narrators. What is the answer?

In the book Return to Islam (pp. 176 and 180), His Eminence Mansoor has said that the Sahabah prevented compiling and writing down hadiths with exhortation and the motivation for protecting Islam; because they knew that these hadiths were conjectural and that there were many evil consequences in compiling and writing them down. Is there any report in Shia sources that Ali and his sons prohibited compiling or writing down hadiths, similar to the reports from the Sahabah? The Shias are not convinced by what has been reported in Sunni sources, and they say that it could be a plot to conceal the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt or for other reasons.

I want a detailed explanation from Shaikh Mansoor, or someone representing him, regarding the Hadith of Ali: «يُدْعَى كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِإِمَامِ زَمَانِهِمْ، وَكِتَابِ رَبِّهِمْ، وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّهِمْ»; “Every nation is called with the Imam of their time, the Book of their Lord, and the Sunnah of their Prophet.” I want its chains of narrators from Sunni books and their level of authenticity. As for the Shias, this belief is well-known and mutawatir in their view, and they do not need to study its authenticity. However, the belief in Imamate is hardly known among the Sunnis, even if it is known with a wrong and confusing understanding. Most of them consider it a Shia innovation. Therefore, to establish proof against them, it is essential to provide a detailed explanation from their own books, rather than relying on other sources, so that one who seeks the truth may be reassured about the matter and begin to search for the Imam.

The identity and attributes
Upon seeing your black flags emerge in Khorasan to prepare the ground for the Mahdi’s advent, and learning of your invitation toward his government apart from that of other people, we were reminded of the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family: “When the black flags set off from Khorasan, rush toward them, even by crawling on snow, for their owners will ask for the truth, but it will not be given to them, then they will ask for it again, but it will not be given to them, then they will fight and win, and what they asked for will be given to them, then they will hand it over to the Mahdi,” and in another narration: “Black flags will come from the East, as if their hearts are pieces of iron. Whoever hears of them should rush toward them, even by crawling on snow, for they are the Mahdi’s helpers in the end time, who will prepare the ground for his rule.” We hope you are them.

Attributes and duties of scholars
Thank you for your answer, esteemed gentlemen. I must say that your answer was very good and showed us the right path. However, my question is that Khorasani has already emerged and is among us now. He has even written a book. Therefore, Yamani and Sufyani must also be here; because all these signs occur in one year, in one month, and on one day! And another question is that if Khorasani has emerged, why do the scholars of Iran, Afghanistan, and other Islamic countries not inform of his emergence so that Khorasani has begun acting on his own and is taking allegiance from people? You personalities, the only thing you can do is make bada’ in the advent of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him, inevitable. Please provide a convincing answer to my question, as I am waiting for it.

Religions, madhhabs and sects
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family, said: «سَتَفْتَرِقُ أُمَّتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً كُلُّهَا فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا وَاحِدَةً»; “My Ummah will split into seventy-three sects after me. All of them are in the fire except for one.” How can Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani claim that all sects are wrong except for the one he has brought recently? Was there not a saved sect before his arrival?
