The idolization of individuals has become a prevalent and dangerous illness among Muslims; because they do not accept the word of truth from someone they do not know and accept the word of falsehood from someone they know, while the word of truth is true even if its speaker is unknown, and the word of falsehood is false even if its speaker is known. The word of truth does not become false just because its speaker is unknown, and the word of falsehood does not become true just because its speaker is known, but rather each speaker is known by what he says; if what he says is true, then he is on the truth, and if what he says is false, then he is on falsehood. Many are known speakers whose words are false, and many are unknown speakers whose words are true! Is the truthfulness of a person dependent on his name, subject to his nationality, or affected by his outward characteristics?! How?! While names are nominal titles, nationalities are invented illusions, and outward characteristics do not correlate with inward characteristics. Have you realized that His Excellency Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani is “the preparer of the ground for the advent of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him” by looking at his name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics or by looking at his thoughts, teachings, and goals?! If you have realized this fact by looking at his thoughts, teachings, and goals, then why are you curious about his name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics?! Do you not know that your curiosity will sooner or later turn into turmoil for you and a pretext for skeptics?! The human and jinn devils who try to sidetrack you from the text to the margins and from the clear matters to the ambiguous ones to confuse your thoughts and afflict your hearts by this trick so that you discard the shield of rationality in the onslaught of suspicion and desires. They know that in facing the decisive proofs and arguments of His Excellency Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani, they are powerless and defeated like a child; because the decisive proofs and arguments of this rare man of this era bow the necks and rub noses in the dust! Therefore, in order to confront him, they have no choice but to resort to marginalization and media clamor, and what gives them the opportunity for this devilry is the susceptibility and interest of people like you about name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics of this caller to the truth; because if people like you had not attached great importance about such margins and branches, they would not have emphasized them to this degree, but the fact is that people like you attach great importance about these margins and branches, and this serves as a means utilized by the enemies of God and the enemies of His Caliph on the earth. These enemies, like other human and jinn devils, exploit your weakness, which is your interest in people’s descriptions instead of their thoughts, teachings, and goals; for example, some people expect His Excellency Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani to have an extraordinary appearance in a halo of light, and therefore, when they find him a human being like themselves, they overlook his thoughts, teachings, and goals and turn away from him; oblivious to the fact that the Prophets too were human beings like themselves, except that God bestowed His favor upon them with knowledge and righteous deed; as He has said: ﴿قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِنْ نَحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا أَنْ نَأْتِيَكُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ[1]; “Their Prophets said to them: ‘We are only human beings like you, but God bestows His favor upon whomever He wills of His servants. It has never been for us to bring you proof except by the permission of God, and in God the believers must put their trust.’” For this reason, the misguided evildoers try to introduce His Excellency Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani as someone similar to others in terms of name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics, like a new discovery and a solution to a mystery, so that in their supposition, they prove his untruthfulness; oblivious to the fact that the truthfulness of this sincere caller is not based on his name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics, but rather on his pure and perfect thoughts, teachings, and goals, and these are what distinguish him from others; otherwise, he does not claim to be an angel, nor does he claim to be different from others, but he is just a caller toward the family of Muhammad and a preparer of the ground for the Mahdi’s advent, and if anyone follows him, it must be in view of this fact, not in view of his name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics, even if they align with Islamic prophecies.

For this reason, this righteous servant wrote to Muslims at the beginning of his letter:

“And thereafter... O wise people! O Muslim brothers and sisters! I have a word with you about you. Will you listen to it and set your hearts on it? Or will you close your ears and follow your paths? I swear to God, if one’s enemy writes him a letter, one will read it carefully to know what the enemy has written him, while I am your compassionate friend and well-wishing brother, and I am more deserving that you know what I have written you. If you do not know me, I do know you, and if you do not like me, I do like you. Listen to what I say and do not ask who I am; for a person is known by his words, and the wise look at what is said, not at who says it!

How many true words a child says, and how many false words elders say! A true word is true, even if a child says it, and a false word is false, even if elders say it! So if you know a word, it does not harm you if you do not know the one who said it; as if you do not know a word, it does not benefit you if you know the one who said it! So listen to what I say to know me; because the human being is hidden under his tongue, and he will not be known until he speaks his mind.

You have not been given ears unless to listen, and you have not been given eyes unless to see, and you have not been given intellects unless to distinguish between what you hear and see to know what is right and what is wrong. So listen to what I say with your ears and examine it with your intellects to accept it if it is right and deny it if it is wrong. May God grant you success; because Satan wants you to not listen so that you will not know, and to not know so that you will be in misery, and is misery the result of anything but ignorance?!

I know those who were before me spoke a lot and irritated you; because many of their words were lies, and they said things about which they had no knowledge, and a group of them want you just for themselves and do not speak unless for deception. They call you to a truth which they themselves have no relation to, and want for you a good which they themselves do not benefit from! These people have made religion a support for gaining power and the Hereafter a pretext for this world; otherwise they do not know religion as they must, nor do they want the Hereafter as it deserves.

Now I speak to you while I have neither hope for power nor greed for this world. I am a man from among you who is considered weak on the earth like you, and I do not seek to be superior to you or to cause corruption on the earth. I do not want anything but to enjoin right and forbid wrong so that God makes whomever He wills listen and whomever He wills deaf, and what do you know?! Perhaps He changes some things and reveals some things; because He has power over all things and full knowledge of everything.”[2]

This is the saying of a truthful scholar who, unlike others, does not invite people toward himself, but rather toward God and His Caliph on the earth. Therefore, those who argue about his name, age, nationality, and outward characteristics do not hear his call, or they hear it but feign ignorance about it; like those who said: ﴿سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا[3]; “We heard and disobeyed!” Inevitably, the end of these deaf people will be nothing but confusion and misguidance; because trials will reach them sooner or later, and doubts will take hold of them from in front or behind, and whoever follows his desires without any guidance from God will be lost in darkness, ﴿وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَى[4]; “and the (good) end belongs to the righteous.”
