What is his honor’s opinion about the religious law of chess game?
Answer to question: | 2 | Date: | 23/10/2015 |
Any game in which there is a winner and a loser is abominable[1], except for the cases which clearly promote the readiness of the Muslims for jihad[2], and if the loser has to pay the winner, it will be considered as gambling and is forbidden. In addition, in cases which chess is not considered as gambling, since it used to be the game of oppressors in the past, and is now a symbol of the Satanists and freemasons, it has even more intense abomination, but the appearance of his honor Allamah Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani’s (may God protect him) opinion is its forbiddance; as some of our helpers have narrated from his honor that he has even refused to sit on a checked carpet and has said: “this is the seat of the Satan”.
