What is his opinion about other rational sciences (other than philosophy)? Like the science of logic and the science of Kalam[1] etc.? Because he has pointed out that he is not interested in the science of philosophy; because he considers it very abstract and inapplicable. Does he have the same opinion about the science of Kalam and the science of logic and other rational sciences taught at seminaries and universities?

The Science of Kalam, whenever it means understanding the Islamic beliefs based on reason and defending those beliefs in front of the doubts of the deniers, is an applied and beneficial science; as God has said: ﴿ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ[2]; “Invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and words of good advice and dispute with them in the better way” and has said: ﴿قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ[3]; “Tell them bring your proof if you tell the truth”, not to dispute by false reasoning and playing with words to defend some beliefs which there is no proof for; as God has said: ﴿وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَابٍ مُنِيرٍ[4]; “And among the people there are some who argue about God without having any knowledge or guidance or enlightening Book” and has said: ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ ۙ إِنْ فِي صُدُورِهِمْ إِلَّا كِبْرٌ مَا هُمْ بِبَالِغِيهِ ۚ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ[5]; “Indeed those who dispute regarding the Signs of God without any evidence that might have come to them, there is nothing in their hearts but vain pride which they shall never be able to satisfy, so seek refuge with God; for He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing”! Also, a part of the science of logic that helps to understand the principles of thought and argument and prevents getting fooled by false reasoning is applied and useful, but some parts of it are also redundant and unnecessary and, in this respect, it is similar to philosophy.
